Abstract

PURPOSE:To obtain a colored building paint material without requiring a drying process with heat, by incorporating a raw material for building paint material prepared by forming an adhesive layer on the surface of an aggregate with an adhesive with a powdery colorant. CONSTITUTION:An aggregate, e.g. silica sand or rubber powder, is mixed with (ii) an adhesive, preferably at 10:1-200:1 weight ratio, to give (A) a raw material for building paint material, which is then incorporated with (B) a powdery colorant, preferably having <=250 mesh particle diameter, to complete coloring. The mixing ration of the components (A) to (B) is preferably 10:1-100-1.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION [Industrial Field of Application] The present invention relates to a method for producing colored architectural coating materials. More specifically, the present invention relates to a method for producing a colored architectural coating material that does not require a heat drying process.

Conventionally, the method for producing this type of colored architectural coating material is to mix 1" of aggregate such as silica sand or crushed stone and 2" of colorant such as pigment or extender pigment dispersed in water with 6" of resin emulsion. However, a method of obtaining it by heating and drying is known. This conventional method requires a heat drying step for the following reasons. That is, firstly, water is required to uniformly adhere the resin emulsion and the coloring material to the surface of the aggregate, and after the adhesion, this excess water must be removed. Secondly, the resin emulsion used must be formed into a film in order to prevent the colorant from falling off the aggregate. In addition, 5 in the figure

Conventional methods that require a heat-drying process require additional steps, equipment (heat-drying ovens), and energy for heat-drying, which inevitably increases production costs. There was a problem. Furthermore, since the aggregate used must be able to withstand the temperature during heating and drying, there is also the problem that the range of aggregate selection is limited.

The inventors of the present invention have conducted various studies to solve the above-mentioned problems, and as a result, have completed a completely new method for producing colored architectural coating materials that does not require a heat-drying process. That is,
The method for producing a colored architectural coating material according to the present invention includes:
An architectural coating material material 3 in which an adhesive layer 2 is formed on the surface of the aggregate 1 using a sticky adhesive and a powdered coloring material 4 are mixed, and the powder is applied to the adhesive layer 2 on the surface of the aggregate 1. Shape coloring material 4
It is characterized by having attached.

Examples include calcium carbonate fine powder. The powder coloring material 4 preferably has a particle size of 250 mesh or less. This is because if it is larger than this, it becomes difficult to adhere to the adhesive layer 2. The amount of the powdered colorant 4 used is preferably within the range of 1 to 10% by weight relative to the aggregate. If the amount is too large than this range, the excess powder coloring material 4 will impair the cosmetic properties, and if it is too small, the aggregate 1 cannot be sufficiently hidden, making it impossible to obtain the desired cosmetic properties.

In order to attach the powdered coloring material 4 to the adhesive layer 2 on the surface of the aggregate 1, the architectural coating material material 3 and the powdered coloring material 4 are mixed in a weight ratio of about 10:1 to 100:1 using a mixer. All you have to do is stir it.

According to the present invention, the adhesive layer 2 formed on the surface of the aggregate 1 is colored by attaching the powdered coloring material 4 such as the pigment 1 extender or calcium carbonate fine powder using its adhesive strength. . Therefore, in the system of the method for producing a colored architectural coating material according to the present invention, no moisture other than the moisture contained in the adhesive is present. Since the amount of water in the adhesive is extremely small, there is no need to remove it. Furthermore, since a resin emulsion is not used as in conventional methods, there is no need to form a film using it. Therefore, according to the method of the present invention, colored architectural coating material 5 can be obtained without undergoing any heat drying process.

Since the present invention has the above configuration, the following effects can be obtained. That is, according to the present invention, colored architectural coating materials are manufactured without going through a heat-drying process, thereby reducing the number of steps, eliminating the need for equipment, and eliminating the need for energy for heat-drying. Therefore, it is possible to obtain various effects such as lower manufacturing costs; 2. Since even non-heat resistant materials can be used as aggregates, there are no restrictions on the selection of architectural coating materials.
