Abstract

PURPOSE:To prevent the receiving of the influence of noise and to decrease the load of the shifting body by providing a light image forming body, a photoelectric converting element, a photodetecting element, etc., and executing the transferring of the signal to the fixed signal processing circuit by means of the light. CONSTITUTION:The image of an original 5 is scanned by a shifting body 7, formed to an optical sensor part of a photoelectric converting element 10 by an optical image forming body 9 and converted to the electric signal. The signal is converted to the optical signal by a light emitting element 11, trans ferred to a photodetecting element 17 on a signal processing circuit 19 and processed at the circuit 19 as the electric signal again. The control electric signal from the circuit 10 to the element 10 is converted by a light emitting element 18 to the optical signal and transferred to a phototdetecting element 12. The signal is converted to the electric signal by the element 12, and the element 10 is controlled. Thus, by providing the element 10, etc., and transferring the signal to the fixed signal processing circuit 19 by means of the light, the load of the shifting body 7 can be decreased without receiving the influence of the noise.

[Detailed Description of the Invention] A. Purpose of the Invention [Field of Industrial Application] The present invention converts an optical image of an original into an electrical signal by driving and controlling an image input device, particularly a photoelectric conversion element, and converts the signal into a fixed electric signal. Conventionally, this type of device has a movable body 1 that reads an image light image and converts it into an electric signal as shown in FIG. 2, a fixed body 3 that receives and processes the electric signal, and a highly flexible electric wire 2 ( For example, they were connected using copper foil laminated with a thin plastic film, electric wire made of many thin core wires, etc.) to transmit electrical signals. 4 is an image input section.

Therefore, when the electrical signal level was low, it was easily affected by noise. In addition, using optical fiber or coaxial lines to reduce the influence of noise is not effective as it may cause problems with the bending durability, and conversely, increasing the electrical signal level to make it less susceptible to noise may reduce the effects of noise. There was a troublesome problem in that it generated radiation noise and affected other equipment.

Because it moved while moving, a large amount of power was required to drive the moving body.

Further, a control electric signal sent from the signal processing circuit 19 to the photoelectric conversion element 1O is converted into an optical signal by the light emitting element 18, and the optical signal is transmitted to the light receiving element 12. The light receiving element 12 converts the optical signal into an electric signal again, and controls the photoelectric conversion element 10.The control includes a start signal for reading out an image signal, a circuit reset signal for the photoelectric conversion element, and a light emitting element 1.
This is a clock signal, etc. for controlling the timing of signals transmitted at 1. Further, depending on the system configuration, the clock signal may be transmitted by providing a reference clock signal generator on the photoelectric conversion element 10 side and being superimposed on the image signal transmitted by the light emitting element 11.

Compared to the case where signals are exchanged using conventional electric wires, it is not affected by noise, and the load on the moving body 7 can be reduced. In other words, the load on the moving object is eliminated from the need for a signal line for exchanging signals, and the load on the moving object is mainly reduced to only the sliding friction load of the member (not shown) that supports the moving object and the load on the power supply line 20. Furthermore, it is also possible to supply power by light to further reduce the load. In other words, a solar cell capable of high-energy photoelectric conversion may be installed in the moving body, and power may be supplied by irradiating the solar cell with a strong light beam from the housing side. However, in this case, the light source for illuminating the document may be If the necessary electric power is converted from light to electric power to light, a problem of conversion loss will occur, so it is better to emit parallel light from the housing side and irradiate it onto the document using a mirror (not shown) provided on a moving body.
