Abstract

PURPOSE:To reduce the variation in a current flowed to a load by exchanging the firing phase angles of two thyristor bridge circuits several times when exchanging the angles of the bridge circuits. CONSTITUTION:An AC power source 1 is connected with the input terminal of a transformer 2, and thyristor bridge circuits 31, 32 are connected with two output terminals of the transformer 2. A load 4 is connected with the output sides of the bridge circuits 31, 32. A capacitor 51 is connected in parallel with the circuit 31 at the output terminal of the transformer 2. When exchanging the firing phase angles of the bridge circuits 31, 32, it is exchanged several times to reduce the variation in a load current.
