At present, reducing automobile noise is considered to be extremely troublesome, and various countermeasures have been taken. In general, there are various sources of automobile noise.
The engine oil pan is also a major source of noise. This is because combustion noise from the engine, mechanical noise, etc. leak through the oil pan as transmitted sound, and mechanical vibrations from the engine body are directly transmitted to the oil pan, causing the flat and relatively large side wall surface to become a membrane. It is believed that vibration is the cause, and it is known that increasing the rigidity of this side wall surface to suppress membrane vibration is the most effective measure to reduce oil pan noise. Therefore, conventionally the first
As shown in the figure, there is a method of increasing the rigidity of the side wall surface B by arranging a large number of beads C in parallel in one direction of the side wall surface B of the oil pan A. is up, but bead C
The direction perpendicular to the direction is weak and insufficient, and the noise cannot be eliminated. Therefore, in order to increase the rigidity of the side wall surface B in the direction perpendicular to the bead C, a large number of beads C are arranged in parallel in one direction on the side wall surface B of the oil pan A, as shown in FIG. Some devices are equipped with D, but this is because the bead is cut at the orthogonal part E between bead C and bead D, and the bead effect is lost, and membrane vibration occurs on the wall surrounded by the bead, causing considerable damage. Make a loud noise.

In Figures 3 to 5, reference numeral 1 denotes an oil pan formed into a deep rectangular dish shape, and a large number of beads 3 are arranged in parallel in one direction on both side wall surfaces 2, 2, which are flat and have a relatively large area. be. 4, 4 are beads 3 arranged in parallel on both side wall surfaces 2, 2 of the oil pan 1.
It is a reinforcing member made of a separate member from the oil pan, for example, which has a semicircular cross section, and is arranged so as to intersect at right angles to the bead 3, and the part perpendicular to the bead 3 is cut out correspondingly to the bead 3, and the part with a constant vertical shape is cut out. The oil pan 1 is assembled by spot welding the flange portions 5 provided at intervals.
It is integrally fixed to the side wall surface 2 of.

With the above configuration, the side wall surface 2 of the oil pan 1
In the installation direction of the bead 3, the bending rigidity can be increased by the bead 3, and in the direction perpendicular to the bead 3, the bending rigidity can be increased by the reinforcing member 4, and the bending rigidity can be increased in two directions at the same time. Therefore, the vibration of the side wall surface 2 can be suppressed to a low level, and the noise caused by the vibration can be greatly reduced.

Note that the cross-sectional shape of the reinforcing member 4 is not limited to the semicircular shape explained above and illustrated in the embodiments, but rectangular, triangular, angular, etc. shapes that themselves are less susceptible to vibration. Similar effects can be obtained even with other cross-sectional shapes.

As explained above, this invention is based on an oil pan that has a flat side wall surface with a relatively large area.A large number of beads in one direction are arranged in parallel on the side wall surface, and a separate member is installed in a direction perpendicular to the beads. Since the reinforcing member straddles the bead and is fixed, it is similar to the case where the bead is simply placed perpendicularly.
There is no problem such as the formation of a flat plate-like part at the intersection of both beads, which reduces the strength at this part and makes it impossible to prevent membrane vibration. That is, the strength of the side wall surface of the oil pan in the direction parallel to the bead is improved by the bead, and in the direction perpendicular to this, the strength is improved by a reinforcing member arranged and fixed across the bead. No flat plate-like portion is formed at the intersection of the members, and the rigidity is increased not only in both directions but also in all directions, and the membrane vibration is prevented, so the noise amplification effect due to the membrane vibration is It is possible to prevent resonance phenomena and achieve a wide noise reduction, and it is possible to exhibit a great effect in reducing automobile noise. In addition, since oil is always stored at the bottom of the oil pan, noise generated by membrane vibration is absorbed by the oil itself.
Not a problem.
