In order to attach a step or the like to an automobile body in an overhanging state, conventionally, as shown in Figs. A step 4 was placed on the horizontal part of the bracket 1 and fixed to the bracket 1 with bolts 5. 6 is the cab floor panel, 7 is the door, and 8 is the weather strip.

When the approximately L-shaped bracket 1 is constructed of channel material in this way, the section modulus of the bracket 1 can be increased relative to the weight of the bracket 1, but when a pedal force is applied to the step 4 when getting on and off, the bent portion of the bracket 1 There is a risk that stress will be concentrated on the bracket 1 and the bracket 1 will be deformed. Therefore, conventionally, as shown in FIGS. 3 and 4, reinforcing members 9 made of channel material are polymerized and welded to the bent portions of the bracket 1 to increase the section modulus of the bent portions to cope with stress concentration. However, in this case, the section modulus suddenly changes at the boundary between the reinforced and non-reinforced parts, causing stress concentration as well.

In order to avoid such concentration of stress, for example, as shown in Fig. 5, the cross-sectional shape of the bracket 1 can be made complex and the cross-sectional modulus of the entire bracket can be changed in accordance with the stress distribution. This has the disadvantage that it becomes difficult to mold the bracket 1, and at the same time, the area of contact with the side panel or step is reduced, and the mounting position of the bolt is restricted.

This invention was made in view of the above, and
By combining two bracket pieces made of channel material with a simple structure, it is lighter than conventional brackets and does not cause stress concentration, and it is also easy to use for support members such as side panels and steps. It is an object of the present invention to provide a bracket structure that has a sufficiently large contact surface with a typical member to be mounted to perform a stable supporting action.

In the figure, the bracket 10 is approximately L-shaped.

Here, the first bracket piece 11 that goes upward in the figure from the bent part of the bracket 10 has the inside of the bend of the bracket 10 as the opening direction of the channel material, and the second bracket piece 12 that goes in the horizontal direction in the figure In this case, the outside of the bend of the bracket 10 is the opening direction of the channel material.

Further, the bent ends of each of the bracket pieces 11 and 12, that is, the horizontal end of the first bracket piece 11 and the vertical end of the second bracket piece 12, each have a substantially V-shaped planar shape. By providing the notches 13 and 14, the section modulus of the bent ends of each bracket piece 11 and 12 is gradually reduced.

Then, the bent part of the second bracket piece 12 is overlapped and fitted inside the bent part of the first bracket piece 11 so that the channel openings of both bracket pieces 11 and 12 face each other, and then both bracket pieces are The overlapping portions of the pieces 11 and 12 are welded 15 to form a bracket 10 that is generally L-shaped as a whole.

In the above configuration, the bent portions of the bracket 10 are the bent portions of the first bracket piece 11 that constitutes the vertical portion of the bracket 10 and the bent portion of the second bracket piece 12 that constitutes the horizontal portion of the bracket 10. It has a double structure. Therefore, the section modulus of the bent portion of the bracket 10 where stress is concentrated can be made sufficiently larger than other portions. In addition, notches 13 and 14 are provided at the bent ends of both bracket pieces 11 and 12, which provide reinforcement in this manner, to gradually reduce the section modulus, so that the boundaries between the bent portion and the vertical and horizontal portions are reduced. The section modulus does not suddenly change at both ends of the bent portion of the bracket 10. For this reason, the section modulus of the bracket 10 as a whole changes approximately in proportion to the distributed stress of the bracket 10, so that rational reinforcement is performed.

Therefore, there is no need to change the section modulus of the bracket by molding as in the past, and there is no need to increase the section modulus of the entire bracket, so a lightweight and inexpensive bracket with stable support function can be provided. Furthermore, since each bracket piece is made of channel material, the area of contact between the support member and the attached member can be sufficiently increased, thereby improving support stability and installation workability.

Further, the mounting surface of the first bracket piece 11 is located on the outside of the bracket 10, and the second bracket piece 1
Since the two mounting surfaces are located inside the bracket 10, the bracket 10 can be stably mounted on either the front or back surface of the support member by selecting these mounting surfaces.

As explained above, according to the present invention, one end of each of the two bracket pieces made of channel material is bent in opposite directions, and then both bracket pieces are bent so that the opening directions of the channel material face each other. Although it has a simple structure in which the sections are polymerized and welded and a notch is provided at the bent end of each bracket piece to gradually reduce the section modulus of the bent end of each bracket piece, it is similar to that seen in L-shaped brackets. The weight of the bracket can be reduced while avoiding the concentration of stress caused by the bracket, and the workability and support stability of the bracket can be improved.
