(Prior Art) Plastic bottles used for filling and sealing positive internal pressure (that is, internal pressure is higher than atmospheric pressure) contents such as carbonated drinks are usually formed by blow molding or stretch-blow molding. In order to prevent deformation (such as buckling) due to the bottom or positive internal pressure, the bottom is often shaped into an outwardly bulging hemispherical shape. In order to ensure upright stability, a hakama-shaped cylindrical body called a base cup is installed.
It fits into the lower part of the cylindrical body of the bottle, and the bottom end of the base cup is often used as the grounding surface. In this case, conventionally, the outer surface of the lower part of the body of the bottle and the inner surface of the upper part of the body wall of the base cup, which are in contact with each other at the fitting part, are both flat (in this specification, this means so-called flat in a plane). In general, it means that the surface is flat without any irregularities, regardless of the shape of the surface. The bottom wall of the base cup is provided with a peripheral protrusion and a recess, and an annular flat support portion is formed in the recess.

(Problems to be solved by the invention) In the above-mentioned conventional and commonly used devices, if the outer diameter of the lower part of the body is too large than the inner diameter of the upper part of the body wall, that is, if the fitting allowance is too large, the frictional resistance will increase. If the size is too large, it becomes difficult or impossible to fit the bottle, while if the fit is small, the bottle can be easily inserted into the base cup, but the bottle is likely to be tilted and inserted into the base cup, causing the contents ( Spills (primarily liquids) or incomplete threading of roll-on type caps can result in a poor seal. Therefore, it is necessary to control the difference between the outer diameter of the lower part of the bottle's body and the inner diameter of the upper part of the base cup's body wall, that is, the fitting allowance, within a very narrow appropriate range, but this is often difficult in actual manufacturing. This creates a problem in that it is easy to produce defective products.

Furthermore, because the top surface of the annular support formed on the base cup is flat, when pressing between the bottom of the bottle and the support to bond them with adhesive, the pressing force may be too strong. Most of the applied adhesive spills out to the sides, leaving almost no adhesive between the bottom and the support, which may lead to poor adhesion.

(Means and effects for solving the problem) This invention was made in view of the above problem, and the plastic bottle has a cylindrical lower body portion with a flat surface, and a plastic bottle equipped with a base cup. The base cup has a hemispherical bottom portion that bulges outward and is connected to the lower body portion, and a plurality of very low protrusions are provided on the inner surface of the upper portion of the body wall portion of the base cup that is to be fitted into the lower body portion. is formed, and the bottom wall portion is formed with an inwardly protruding support portion having a shape corresponding to the portion of the bottom portion to be supported, and a support portion extending in the circumferential direction is formed on the upper surface of the support portion. Since multiple grooves are provided,
When fitting the lower body of the bottle, which has a flat surface, even if there is some variation in the fitting allowance depending on the manufacturing lot, it is possible to achieve a tight fit and to make it easy to remove a large number of stacked base cups. Moreover, by forming the groove on the upper surface of the support part of the base cup, the bottle and the base cup can be reliably bonded.

In FIGS. 1, 2, and 3, 1 is a plastic bottle, which is usually formed by blow molding or stretch-blow molding. In the case of bottles used to fill and seal liquids with relatively high positive internal pressure, such as carbonated drinks, stretch-blow molded bottles made of polyethylene terephthalate, for example, are suitable for strength, impact resistance, gas barrier properties, transparency,
Desirable from the viewpoint of container performance such as hygiene. The bottom portion 2, which bulges outward (downward) in a hemispherical shape, is connected to a short cylindrical lower body portion 3a with a flat outer surface, and the lower body portion 3a is connected to the main body portion 3c via a stepped portion 3b. . The step of the step portion 3b is determined to be approximately equal to the thickness of the upper end portion 5a of the body wall portion 5 of the base cup 4. The bottom wall portion 6 of the base cup 4 consists of an annular peripheral protrusion 7 and a recess 8, and the bottom end 7a of the annular peripheral protrusion 7 forms a ground plane to ensure erect stability. An annular support portion 9 for supporting the bottom portion 2 is formed in the recess portion 8, and the support portion 9 has a shape corresponding to the portion of the bottom portion 2 to be supported. The peripheral wall portion 5 consists of a lower tapered portion 5b that widens upward, and a cylindrical main portion 5c, and the main portion 5c is also formed with a slight upward taper (for example, 0.5 degree), so that it can be easily used during work. The base cups 4 are configured so that they can be fitted together and stacked upon each other during transportation or the like. A plurality of (three in the figure) small holes 10 are formed along the bottom end 7a. The small hole 10 functions as an air vent hole when the bottle 1 is fitted and a drain hole for washing water. The base cup 4 is usually made of plastic such as polyethylene or polypropylene.

Although omitted in Figure 1, as shown in Figure 3,
A plurality (seven in the figure) of annular protrusions 11 are formed on the inner surface of the upper trunk wall portion 5d that is to be fitted into the lower trunk portion 3a of the trunk wall portion 5. As shown in FIG. 4, the annular protrusion 11 has an arcuate cross section, and therefore makes line contact with the lower body portion 3a at its top 11a. Therefore, the frictional resistance during fitting is small. Trunk wall part 5 near upper end 5a of trunk wall part 5

Although not shown in FIG. 1, as shown in FIG. 3, a large number of grooves 12 extending in the circumferential direction are formed on the upper surface of the annular support portion 9. As shown in FIG. The bottom part 2 of the bottle and the support part 9 are bonded to each other at several locations on the support part 9 by an adhesive layer 13 (for example, made of a hot melt adhesive such as vinyl acetate adhesive). Due to the presence of the groove 12, the applied adhesive flows circumferentially along the groove 12 when pressed between the bottom 2 and the support 9, and there is at least a gap between the bottom 2 and the support 9. The presence of adhesive within the groove 12 ensures adhesion. If the groove part 12 is not formed and the upper surface of the support part 9 is flat, if the above-mentioned pressing force is too strong, most of the applied adhesive will protrude to the sides, causing a gap between the bottom part 2 and the support part 9. There is a risk that almost no adhesive will remain on the surface of the adhesive, leading to poor adhesion, but such defects can be prevented by forming the grooves 12. The presence of the stepped portion 3b of the bottle 1 prevents excessive pressure as described above, maintains the gap between the bottom portion 2 and the support portion 9 within an appropriate range, and at the same time allows the outer surface of the bottle body 3 and the body of the base cup to The outer surfaces of the wall portions 5 are made substantially flush, contributing to improving the appearance of the container.

This invention is not limited to the above embodiments, and the protrusion 11 may be discontinuously formed in an annular shape. Further, its cross section may also be triangular or rectangular. Alternatively, it may be a protrusion extending obliquely to the axis. Furthermore, it may be a large number of speckled protrusions formed at random.

(Effects of the invention) This invention is made as detailed above, that is, a protrusion is formed on the inner surface of the upper part of the body wall of the base cup, so that when it is fitted into the lower part of the body of the bottle with a flat surface, it is difficult to manufacture. Even if there is some variation in the fitting allowance depending on the lot, it has the effect of being able to smoothly perform tight fitting (that is, within a wider fitting allowance range than before). It also has the advantage that a large number of stacked base cups can be easily removed during the fitting process or the like by engaging a suitable engagement tool with the protrusion. Furthermore, by forming a groove on the upper surface of the support part of the base cup, the applied adhesive flows in the circumferential direction along the groove when being pressed between the bottom part and the support part. At least the presence of adhesive in the groove portion ensures adhesion, so the bottle and base cup can be reliably bonded.
