Abstract

PURPOSE:To detect accurately and easily whether a workpiece is already worked or not, by measuring preliminarily the weight of the workpiece before working and setting this weight as a reference value and measuring the weight of each work at the working time and comparing this measured weight with said reference value. CONSTITUTION:A weight measurer 3 is provided in a conversion position of a subloader 2, and a saucer 3a and the surface of the subloader 2 are leveled. Before discriminating whether a work 4 is already worked or not, the measured value measured by the weight measurer 3 is stored preliminarily as the reference value in a register of a controller. At the discrimination time, works 4 worked by a hobbing machine are carried to the subloader 2 and are placed on the saucer 3a successively at a certain timing. The weight of the work 4 is measured by the weight measurer 3 and is compared with the preliminarily stored reference value by the controller. If the reference value is larger than the measured value, it is discriminated that the work 4 is already worked. If it is discriminated that the work 4 is not worked yet, the work 4 is worked again.

<Prior Art> As shown in FIG. 3, a workpiece is supplied to the hob 21 by a workpiece supplying device such as a sub-loader 2. After the work is placed at the exchange position 2a of the sub-loader 2,
The workpiece is conveyed by the sub-loader 2 and set at the machining position i2b, where it is machined by a hobbing machine, and the further machined workpiece is conveyed again by the sub-loader 2 and returned to the exchange position 2a. At the exchange position 2a, an exchange operation is performed in which a processed workpiece is taken out and an unprocessed workpiece is placed thereon. This replacement work is performed manually or automatically by an autoloader.

As mentioned above, when a workpiece is fed to a machine tool by the workpiece feeding device, it is checked whether the workpiece is processed or unprocessed at the exchange position 2a in order to prevent duplicate machining and discharge of unprocessed parts. It is necessary to distinguish between them.

There are many problems because the target processed products come in many different sizes, thick and thin, and the history storage method loses memory in the event of a power outage. Alternatively, there are drawbacks such as incorrect judgments if the memory goes awry.

<Means for Solving the Problems> The present invention, which achieves the above object, measures the weight of the workpiece to be machined with a machine tool in advance, stores it as a reference value, and measures the weight of each workpiece one by one during machining. The method is characterized in that it is determined whether the workpiece is processed or unprocessed by measuring the measured value and comparing the measured value with the reference value.

As shown in FIG. 1, in this embodiment, a weight measuring device 3 is provided at the replacement position of the sub-loader 2, and the surface of the receiving tray 3a of the weight measuring device 3 and the surface of the sub-loader 2 are made equal to each other. , a small, high-precision electronic type is used. When the workpiece 4 is placed on the tray 3a, the weight of the workpiece 4 is measured by the weight measuring device 3, and the measured value is stored in a register of a control device (not shown).

The determination is made as follows. That is, the workpiece 4 processed by the bob machine 2 is transported by the subloader 2, and the weight measuring device 3, which is placed on the tray 3a one after another at a certain timing, measures the weight of the workpiece 4 each time it is placed. The measured value is sent to a register and stored. In the control device,
Each measured value sent one after another is compared point by point with a pre-stored reference value. When the relationship ``reference value > measured value'' holds, it is determined that the workpiece 4 has been processed, and when the above relationship does not hold, it is determined that the 7-ri 4 is unprocessed. This determination is possible because the workpiece 4 is cut when machining is performed, and its weight is reduced by the amount of the cut.

When determining that the workpiece 4 has been processed, the control device outputs a processed signal and discharges the workpiece 4 to the next process. On the other hand, when it is determined that the workpiece is unprocessed, an unprocessed signal is output, and the workpiece is operated to be reprocessed or not to be discharged to the primary process.
