[Detailed Description of the Invention] [Industrial Application Field] The purpose of this invention is to prevent snow damage to power transmission lines and steel towers by peeling frozen ice and snow attached to electric wires, especially high-voltage power transmission wires, from the electric wires. The present invention relates to a method for removing snow from electric wires and an apparatus therefor.

In particularly snowy years or in areas with heavy snowfall, snow adhering to power transmission lines can freeze and reach several times the thickness of the wires, which inevitably causes the wires to break due to the weight of the snow. In addition, when a power line is cut, the damage is not limited to just the wire being cut; the steel tower that supports the tension of the wire may collapse due to the large tensile force of the wire on the side that is not cut, resulting in a huge amount of time being spent on restoration work. This will require additional costs.

Conventionally, there are no concrete and appropriate measures to prevent snow damage to the power lines, and as soon as it is determined that the amount of snow has increased, power transmission is temporarily halted, and workers are forced to place swing-shaped structures on the power lines. The method used was to destroy and remove frozen ice and snow with a hammer while moving on a mobile hanging device.

However, this kind of snow removal work is extremely harsh and highly dangerous, and has the problem of being inefficient. As a countermeasure to this problem, in the past a method was used in which a worker climbed up to the top of the tower B and struck one end of the power line C with a stick to cause the wire C to vibrate, as shown in Figure 5. Since the vibrations generated in the electric wire C by hitting it with a stick have a relatively long period, the electric wire C will simply sway greatly with the snow still attached to it, so simply shaking the electric wire C will cause it to freeze. The reality is that ice and snow cannot be easily peeled off from the electric wire C.

As a result of studying the above-mentioned problems, the inventor of the present invention found that the reason why the ice and snow attached to the wire cannot be removed by simply hitting the wire C with a stick and applying vibration is due to the vibration applied to the wire C. Because the period is large, it simply causes undulations to the electric wire C, and the ice and snow that adheres to it also sways along with the electric wire C, and the adhesion of the ice and snow itself to the electric wire C remains stable. As a result, it was found that the reason was that no external factor could be applied that would break the adhesion of the electric wire C to ice and snow.

As a result of repeated research based on the above-mentioned reasons, the inventor of the present invention has found that in order to remove frozen ice and snow from the wire surface, continuous small vibrations are applied to the surface of the wire to which the ice and snow are attached. It was concluded that the ice and snow itself should be given a large number of cracks, thereby creating a state in which it would be more likely to separate from the surface of the electric wire.

Therefore, the present inventor attached a vibration motor directly to the electric wire or to a part for supporting the electric wire, and continuously generated vibrations with a period shorter than the natural vibration of the electric wire caused by natural or artificial forces. As a result, if the molecules on the wire's adhesion surface become susceptible to cracking due to the minute vibrations from the wire, the cracks will eventually extend to the outer circumferential surface of the ice and snow, and this phenomenon will cause the entire length of the wire to crack. It has been found that ice and snow can be easily peeled off from the entire length of the wire.

Next, a basic embodiment of the device according to the present invention will be described with reference to the drawings. As shown in FIG. 1, a vibration motor 1 equipped with an eccentric pendulum 2 inside is fixed to the upper surface of a wire fixing board 3. This fixed board 3 consists of a mounting plate 5 and clamps Fi, 6 which are rotatably connected at one end by a support shaft 4, and a bolt 7 is attached to the other end of the mounting plate 5 and clamping plate 6. and a wing nut 8 are attached, and a clamping hole 10 for clamping the electric wire 9 is provided in the middle part. This electric wire clamping hole 10 is formed by matching grooves 101.10□ provided on the mounting plate 5 and the clamping plate 6, and the inner diameter of this hole 10 is the thickest power transmission wire currently used. If the outer diameter of the power transmission line to be attached is smaller than the inner diameter of the clamping hole 10, use a pre-prepared wire with a thickness corresponding to the diameter of the clamping hole 10. Furthermore, the vibration motor 1 is of a type that can be varied by changing the frequency, and by adjusting the frequency converter 12 placed on the ground, it is possible to freely apply appropriate vibrations according to the amount of ice and snow that has adhered. It has become. Note that the vibration motor 1 is driven by a normal power source or a generator of the ground facility, but depending on the case, it may be driven by a battery attached to the motor.

The above-mentioned vibration motor 1 is attached to one end of the power transmission line 9 whose power transmission has been stopped as shown in FIG. When applied continuously, the vibration A is transmitted to the other end using the electric wire 9 as a medium and returns to the installed position of the vibration motor 1, so the vibration A is continuous over the entire length of the electric wire between the steel towers B and B. It will be given as follows.

As a result, ice and snow 1 adhered to the surface of the electric wire 9 as shown in Figure 4.
5, the adhesion surface 16 with the electric wire 9 is repeatedly hit by vibrations from the electric wire 9, and cracks generated on the adhesion surface 16 extend to all cross sections facing the outer circumferential surface 17 of the ice and snow 15. This creates a condition in which the wire 9 is easily peeled off from the surface. Such a phenomenon occurs evenly over the entire length of the electric wire 9 due to the vibration being transmitted toward the other end of the electric wire 9 and reciprocating, so that the ice and snow attached to the entire length of the electric wire 9 will be surely peeled off in time. It happens.
