Abstract

PURPOSE:To operate easily and to prevent malfunction by orienting a video camera at an abnormal position according to information relating to the positional relationship between the previously stored abnormal position and the video camera so as to cause said camera to pick up an image and synthesizing the picked-up video with a supervising picture plane to display it on a CRT. CONSTITUTION:When a detector 14 detects the abnormality from an object to be monitored 5, information on the occurrence of abnormalities is displayed on a monitoring picture plane. Here, when an operator touches the place where the abnormality arises on the monitoring picture plane with his finger to specify it, a signal relating to the abnormal place is inputted to a video camera operating device 15, which operates the video camera 4 based on the information relating to the positional relationship between the video camera 4 and the previously stored abnormal place and catches the video of the object to be monitored 5 developing the abnormality. This video is transmitted to a picture plane synthesizer 16, where it is synthesized with the monitoring picture plane. On the picture plane of the CRT 12 a small picture image appears on the monitoring picture plane, and the video from the video camera 4 is projected.

The present invention provides a process monitoring device comprising a remotely controllable video camera and a process console with a CRT.
A video camera in which a process console with a CRT receives a signal regarding a detected abnormality and directs the video camera to the abnormality to take an image based on pre-stored information regarding the positional relationship between the abnormality and the video camera. The system is equipped with an operation device and an image synthesis device that synthesizes a video image captured by a video camera and a monitoring screen showing the process configuration by an image creation device and displays the result on a CRT, thereby eliminating the need for an operator to make troublesome videos. This eliminates the need for camera operations and achieves the intended purpose.

In the process monitoring device according to the embodiment of the present invention configured as described above, the process console (11) displays a monitoring screen showing the configuration of the monitored process created by the image creation device (13) on the CRT (12). When an abnormality is detected from the monitored object (1) by the 6-detection device (14) displayed above, abnormality occurrence information is displayed on the monitoring screen in the form of, for example, the location where the abnormality has occurred blinking. Here, the operator - Yu specifies the location of the abnormality on the monitoring screen by touching it with his finger, and the video camera operation bag is activated! (15)
A signal related to the abnormal location is input to the video camera, and the video camera is operated based on information regarding the positional relationship between the abnormal location and the video camera, which is stored in advance! As described above, according to the process monitoring device of one embodiment of the present invention, the operator can read the CRT of the process console (11)
By simply specifying the location where an abnormality has occurred, which is displayed by blinking on the screen, the video camera (A) is automatically pointed at the specified abnormality location and takes an image, and the object to be monitored that has caused the abnormality is captured. Images from a video camera can be viewed on a CRT screen. In addition, by displaying a composite of the surveillance screen and video camera images on the same CRT (12), information about what the video camera image is showing can be displayed in text form. Rather than using something that is difficult to understand, it can be displayed using an easy-to-understand direct means such as an image.

As described in detail above, according to the present invention, in a process monitoring device comprising a remotely controllable video camera and a CRT-equipped process console, the CRT-equipped process console receives and stores in advance a signal related to a detected abnormality. a video camera operating device that directs the video camera to the abnormal location and performs imaging based on information regarding the positional relationship between the abnormal location and the video camera; Combined with the monitoring screen showing the configuration and displayed on the CRT
When an abnormality occurs, the location of the abnormality is displayed blinking on the monitoring screen on the CRT, and the operator can automatically detect the problem by simply touching it with his or her finger. A video camera is pointed at the location where the abnormality has occurred and an image is taken, and the image taken by the video camera of the object to be monitored where the abnormality has occurred can be viewed on a CRT screen. This frees the operator from the conventional troublesome operations such as pointing the video camera toward the object to be monitored and focusing. Furthermore, since the images from the surveillance screen and the video camera are combined and displayed on the same CRT, information about what the video camera is showing is displayed instead of hard-to-understand text such as text. It can be displayed using a simple and easy-to-understand method of one image. On top of that,
The video camera can also be easily operated using the process console.
