Abstract

PURPOSE:To prevent the contamination of an inner surface, by symmetrically arranging two electrode rods applying charge to paint particles to a gap with respect to a paint supply nozzle. CONSTITUTION:A paint supply nozzle 1 is arranged to the leading end of a painting gun main body and the paint sent through the painting gun main body is injected into air through a leading end fine orifice 1a. A cap 2 is a cylindrical member having an opening part 2a and concentrically arranged around the nozzle 1. Electrode rods 3, 4 are embedded in the breast part of the cap 2 so as to be symmetrically arranged with respect to the paint supply nozzle 1 and the leading end parts thereof the protruded toward the center from the inner peripheral surface of the opening part 2a. The paint injected from the paint supply nozzle 1 is negatively charged by high voltage applied to the electrode rods 3, 4 and fine pulverization is promoted by mutual repulsion.

The tip *i of the airless electrostatic coating gun is configured as shown in FIG. 2, for example. (1) is a paint supply nozzle at the tip of the gun, (2) is a cap, and (3) is an electrode rod for applying an electric charge to paint particles. The cap (2) is a cylindrical member that connects the paint supply nozzle (1). ), and only one electrode rod (3) is attached to the cap (2). This electrode rod (3) receives a high DC voltage to cause a corona discharge, and generates an ion current between it and a grounded object to be painted, such as an automobile body, and causes paint particles to advance.

[Problems to be Solved by the Invention] In the conventional airless electrostatic painting gun, the inner surface of the opening (2a) of the cap (2), especially the opening (2a) on the opposite side where the electrode rod (3) is not attached. ) There is a problem that the paint (e) adheres to the inner surface and becomes dirty. This dirt can also cause discoloration, and if it occurs frequently, the efficiency of the painting process will be impaired.

[Operation] The electrode rod of an airless electrostatic painting gun applies a high voltage to the paint particles, thereby charging them with a negative charge. The charged paint particles repel each other and become atomized, and are drawn to the object by the generated ion current and coated.

In the airless electrostatic painting gun of the present invention, high voltage can be applied from multiple directions to the paint particles ejected from the paint supply nozzle using two or more electrode rods, so atomization of paint particles can proceed simultaneously over a wide range. In addition, two or more ion currents that advance the paint particles toward the object to be coated are also generated symmetrically around the paint supply nozzle, making it difficult for paint particles to float near the tip of the gun.

In FIG. 1, (1) is a paint supply nozzle, (2) is a cap, and (3) and (4) are electrode rods. The paint supply nozzle (1) is placed at the tip of the paint gun body (not shown), and the paint sent through the paint gun body is ejected into the air through the pores (1a) at the tip. It is supposed to be done.

The cap (2) is a cylindrical member having an opening (2a) and is arranged concentrically around the paint supply nozzle (1). The electrode rods (3) and (4) are embedded in the so-called part of the cap (2) so as to be arranged symmetrically with respect to the paint supply nozzle (1), and their tips are located in the opening (2a). It protrudes toward the center from the inner peripheral surface.

In this embodiment, the paint ejected from the paint supply nozzle (1) expands in volume and becomes atomized at the same time as it is ejected, but is negatively charged by the high voltage applied to the electrode rods (3) and (4). Since they are charged, they repel each other, further promoting atomization. Moreover, since this atomization of the paint is carried out both from the direction in which the electrode rod (3) is located and from the direction opposite to the position of the electrode rod (4), the cap (2)
The atomization progresses simultaneously near the opening (2a), and the degree of atomization is extremely high. Therefore, the phenomenon of paint dripping without being sufficiently atomized almost never occurs. Since two ion streams are generated between the electrode rods (3) and (4) and the object to be coated,
The force that attracts paint particles to the object to be painted is
It is less likely that paint particles will remain in a suspended state near 2 m).

Therefore, in this embodiment, the floating near the front surface of the cap (2)! ! Contamination caused by paint particles dripping and adhering to the inner surface of the opening (2a), etc., hardly occurs.

In the embodiment in which the number of electrode rods is increased in this way, the atomization of paint particles is promoted accordingly and the suction force to the object to be painted is strengthened, so that stains due to paint adhesion are dramatically reduced.

[Effects of the Invention] In the airless electrostatic coating gun of the present invention, the atomization of paint particles progresses simultaneously from multiple directions, and the suction force toward the object to be coated becomes stronger, so the inner surface of the cap becomes extremely dirty. , thereby improving the coating quality and improving the efficiency of the coating process.
