Since the boot-shaped part was long, the boot part was easily deformed by contact with pebbles, water, etc.

Furthermore, the durability and sealing performance of the dust boot may be significantly reduced due to large contact wear, etc.

Due to its flexibility, the small diameter part can bend and fit comfortably inside the large diameter part and further into the cylindrical support part 8 as shown by the chain line. The portion 8 can support such deformation of the conical cylindrical boot portion 7 with high rigidity.

ものである。 As described above, according to the present invention, the dust boot between two members that move relatively in the axial direction is formed by a flexible conical cylinder that opens in a cone shape and extends from the fitting part to the small diameter part of one member. By having a structure in which these parts are integrally molded as a support part that connects the end of the cylindrical support part to the other member, the cylindrical support part has a slightly rigid cylindrical support part extending from the large diameter end of the boot part. When the member moves relatively in the axial direction, the flexible conical cylindrical boot section is bent and deformed while being supported by the highly rigid cylindrical support section, and easily enters the inside of the cylindrical support section. Therefore, it is possible to obtain a deformation stroke that is much larger than the length of the conical cylindrical portion, and the overall length of the dust boot can be shortened and the weight can be significantly reduced compared to the conventional wave-shaped dust boot. Therefore, it is possible to completely prevent the dust boot portion from falling, and it is possible to improve durability. Also, compared to conventional wave-shaped dust boots, the shape is simpler, easier to process, and less expensive. Furthermore, the cylindrical support portion prevents deformation even when hit by stones, water, etc., thereby improving durability.
