Abstract

PURPOSE:To make it possible to mold a corrugated pipe with any diameter without using a mold, by corrugating a laminate pipe having an inner layer, an intermediate layer and an outer layer, and then removing the inner layer and the outer layer. CONSTITUTION:A metal belt 1, an unvulcanized rubber tape 2 and a metal belt 3 in the stated order with the metal belt 1 innermost are interposed between a cantilevered mandrel 11 and an endless belt 12 wound around the mandrel 11 and driven by driving rollers 13, 13 and are wound helically around the mandrel 11 to be molded into a tubular body while the tubular body is rotated and moved forward, so that a laminate pipe (P) having an inner layer 4, an intermediate layer 5 and an outer layer 6 is molded. Rollers each with grooves are pressed to the inner surface and the outer surface of the laminate pipe (P) to deform plastically the metal belts 1, 3 forming the inner and outer layers 4, 6 to be corrugated. Then the laminate pipe is cut in lengths, and the obtained sections are charged in a heating furnace to heat and vulcanize the unvulcanized rubber of the intermediate layer 5. Then the metal belts 1, 3 constituting the inner and outer layers 4, 6 not adhered to the intermediate layer 5 are separated and removed from the intermediate layer 5 to give a corrugated pipe (T) comprising a vulcanized rubber.

(Prior art) Conventionally, the method of forming corrugated tubes made of polymeric materials is as follows:
For example, as in JP-A-57-11661, a plastic pipe extruded from an extruder is introduced into a molding tunnel consisting of a large number of movable molding pieces formed with semicircular uneven surfaces facing each other, and the It is known to form a predetermined wavy shape by spreading it out on a molding piece.

(Problem to be Solved by the Invention) However, in the above molding method, each time there is a change in the diameter or waveform shape of the corrugated pipe to be molded, the movable waveform piece, which is the molding die, must be manufactured in accordance with the change. However, there were problems in that it required a considerable amount of cost and time to manufacture, and had disadvantages in forming the corrugated tube.

(Means for Solving the Problems) The purpose of the present invention is to solve the above problems and provide a new manufacturing method that can mold a corrugated pipe of any diameter without using a molding die. The gist of the method is to form a laminated tube having inner and outer layers made of a sticky and deformable material such as thin metal and an intermediate layer made of rubber or plastic, and to shape the laminated tube into a corrugated shape. The present invention provides a method for manufacturing a corrugated tube, comprising the step of peeling and removing the inner and outer layers from the laminated tube.

Note that the formation of the laminated pipe opening is not limited to the above embodiment, and instead of the metal strip, a strip made of other plastically deformable material may be used, or the tube body may be formed by winding the strip in a spiral shape. Alternatively, the intermediate layer (5) may be formed by spirally winding a tape impregnated with unvulcanized rubber around a base fabric such as glass cloth, and polymerizing the side edges thereof. Alternatively, it may be formed by spirally winding various thermoplastic or thermosetting plastic tapes.

(Operations and Effects of the Invention) As explained above, according to the present invention, a tube wall made of a polymeric material such as rubber can be plastically deformed into an uneven shape along with the inner and outer layers without using a mold. In addition to being able to easily form corrugated pipes with the desired diameter, it is also possible to use heat-resistant plastics such as polyimide, PPS, and PBT, which are difficult to melt-mold, unlike general thermoplastics. It has the advantage of being able to manufacture corrugated tubes with good flexibility, and is of great industrial value.
