The contents of these information memories are transmitted via a CRT control unit 4 that controls the CRT display 1, a parallel-serial conversion circuit (P-8 conversion circuit) 3 that converts memory information data, and then a video signal generation circuit 2. connected to the CRT to become a video signal.
A detector 12 is connected to the display 1 and displayed on the screen (see FIG. 2 described later), and also reads optical information from characters, symbols, and other patterns displayed on the screen of the CRT display 1. A coordinate detection circuit 11 for detecting the display position (coordinates) of is provided, and this signal is connected to the microcomputer 5. The microcomputer 5 is provided with a data register 6 for storing various data and a mode register 7 for storing mode information.

書込まれる。Since ``1'Hita'' has already been input, the next character to be input is the katakana ``CH''. First, the user uses the detector 12, such as a light pen, to check the character displayed at the bottom of the CRT display l. From the function selection display unit IC, place the detector 12 on a kana character, turn on the switch 13 of the detector 12, and shine light on it.The coordinate detection circuit 11 detects that the kana character has been selected, and the signal is detected. Send it to microcomputer 5. Mode information for kana characters is input to the mode register 7. Furthermore, according to the contents of this mode register, kana characters are selected from the search information memory 9 on the search information display section 1b, and the kana characters are displayed as shown in FIG. Therefore, the user uses the detector 12 to
, and display the kana character pattern in the image information display section 1a.
By displaying the key code at the cursor position, the key code corresponding to the kana character "chi" is written into the data register 6, and written into the image information memory 8 by the microcomputer 5.

Furthermore, in response to the demand for miniaturization of devices, since an input device such as a keyboard is no longer required, the number of semiconductor components can be significantly reduced, which has the effect of improving device reliability and reducing costs. Also, touch panel
It also becomes possible to subdivide the sensing part, which was a problem with J, etc., and the amount of information input can also be increased.
