Electric wires and cables used in buildings, plants, etc.
Many combustible materials such as polyethylene V and polyvinyl chloride are used as insulators and sheaths for these devices. As a result, fires can spread to electric wires and cables, and the fire can propagate through penetrations in walls and floors. It is not uncommon to reach this point.

In the present invention, as the aqueous emulsion resin, polyvinyl acetate emulsion, vinyl acetate-ethylene copolymer emulsion, vinyl acetate-propio/acid vinyl copolymer emulsion, vinyl acetate-acrylate copolymer emulsion, acrylic acid ester copolymer emulsion, etc. are used. These can be used alone or in combination of two or more. Water-based emulsion resin functions as a binder, but since it is generally flammable, it is preferable to use the minimum amount, and the resin solid content is 8 to 20% by weight. - If it is less than 8% by weight, its function as a binder will deteriorate, and if it exceeds 20% by weight, the resin content will be flammable, resulting in insufficient flame retardancy after drying - As an organic flame retardant is chlorinated paraffin, chlorinated naphthalene, decabromodiphenyl oxide, pentabromoethylbenzene, tetrafuromophthalic anhydride, ethylene bis(tetrapromophthalimide), ethylene bis(
5,6-dipromonorbonene-2,3-dicarboximide) and the like are suitable.

The amount of organic flame retardant added must be in the range of 1 to 10% by weight based on the total weight of the composition; if it is less than 1% by weight, flame retardancy is poor, and if it exceeds 10% by weight, harmful gas will be generated during combustion. Combining an undesirable monochlorine compound and an antimony compound (such as antimony trioxide) increases the flame retardant effect, so when a chlorine compound is included, it is desirable to use antimony trioxide in combination.

The amount of inorganic fiber mixed must be in the range of 1 to 10% by weight based on the total weight of the composition; if it is less than 1% by weight, the fire resistance will be poor, and if it exceeds 10% by weight, it will become hard and the filling workability will decrease.

Moisture is necessary when kneading the composition, and considering shrinkage after drying, it is necessary to keep the content to 25% by weight or less based on the total weight of the composition. If it exceeds 25% by weight, shrinkage during drying will be large and cracks may occur locally.

(1) Filling workability Conduit with outer diameter 7Qm x 1 length 1001jL with outer diameter 2
Qm, 7 vinyl insulated vinyl sheathed electric wires with a length of 300 elbows were inserted, and the gaps between them were filled with rock wool. The outer part of the conduit 3011E was filled with a putty-like fire prevention composition.
We observed the presence of cracks due to shrinkage during drying and adhesion to electric wires (2) Fire resistance The sample prepared in (1) was held vertically and the length of the oxidation flame was 1.
Using a propane gas burner with a length of 601M and a reducing flame of 4013L, place the burner's reducing flame at the tip of the cable at an angle of 20 degrees, and burn for 1 hour. The presence or absence of dripping of the filling and the presence or absence of flame penetration were observed - and the solidification state after leaving the burner was observed. From Table 1, the compositions of Examples 1 to 4 falling within the scope of the present invention. When the material was used, there was little shrinkage during drying after filling, and no cracks were generated. In addition, drip during combustion,
There was no penetration of flame, and no shape shift after combustion.
