Abstract

PURPOSE:To obtain a container formed of Al foil with substantially no wrinkles by forming preliminarily fine ruggedness to the Al foil to be formed and forming the Al foil by a press in such a manner that the wrinkles are naturally formed. CONSTITUTION:The fine ruggedness is formed to the Al foil by using, for example, an embossing roll then such Al foul is formed by the press to the shape of the container. A press die for forming may be the same as the die used heretofore for a container having natural wrinkles and no special treatments are required in the process of manufacture like in the conventional practice. There are no spontaneous wrinkles on a bottom wall 2 at all and a flange 4 is substantially wrinkle-free when the container 1 shown in the figure is formed by the above-memtioned method. The shallow wrinkles in the radial direction are slightly generated on a circumferential wall to the inconspicuous extent.

In the former case, it is necessary to maintain a constant clearance between the mold parts to prevent wrinkles from forming in the middle of the molding process, and advanced technology is required to manufacture the mold, which increases the cost of manufacturing the mold and, of course, increases the cost of manufacturing the container. It was expensive.

On the other hand, there are two types of wrinkled containers: those whose wrinkles are forcibly generated using a mold and those whose wrinkles are formed naturally. Forcing the wrinkles to occur required sophisticated manufacturing techniques such as creating grooves on the surface of the mold parts, which increased the cost of manufacturing the container.

Therefore, in terms of manufacturing costs, naturally wrinkled containers are the cheapest, but they have a problem of being unfavorable in appearance and inferior in commercial value compared to containers without wrinkles or containers with forced wrinkles.

In order to achieve the object of item 111, in this invention, the aluminum foil has thin unevenness provided in advance on at least the peripheral wall, and the unevenness suppresses the ridge-like wrinkles that occur during forming. I made sure that no one would ever see it.

In addition, in the manufacturing method, aluminum foil was previously embossed to form fine irregularities, and then press-molded into the shape of a container, resulting in a molded aluminum foil container with almost no wrinkles.

As mentioned above, if you form fine irregularities on aluminum foil in advance, even in press molding where wrinkles naturally occur, they will be absorbed by the folds of the fine irregularities, resulting in a molded container with almost no wrinkles. It will be done.

Describing the method for manufacturing the container 1, first, as described above, thin irregularities are formed on aluminum foil using an embossing roll, and then this aluminum foil is press-molded into the shape of the container as described above. Formation of fine irregularities using such an embossing roll may be performed by batch processing separately from press molding, or may be placed in-line just before the press mold.

Embossing can also be done by pressing, and in that case, for example, fine irregularities can be formed only on the portion corresponding to the peripheral wall of the container.

Comparing the state of wrinkles between the container 1 obtained as described above (Reference Figure A) and the conventional container 1' shown in Reference Figure B, it is found that in the conventional container 1', the bottom wall 2' There are no wrinkles at all, relatively large ridge-like deep wrinkles 5' are formed on the peripheral wall 3' over the entire circumference in the radial direction, and relatively small and deep hostile wrinkles 6' are formed on the flange 4'. This is also formed over the entire circumference in the radial direction.

On the other hand, in the container 1 of the present invention, the bottom wall 2 has no naturally occurring wrinkles, and the flange 4 also has almost no wrinkles. There are slight, inconspicuous shallow wrinkles 5 in the radial direction on the peripheral wall 3.

Although the state of wrinkle formation differs depending on the shape of the container, in general, the containers of the present invention tend to have no wrinkles on the bottom wall, but slightly unnoticeable shallow wrinkles on the peripheral wall and flange. However, these wrinkles are far fewer and shallower than in conventional containers with naturally occurring wrinkles.

As mentioned in item 1 above, forming thin irregularities by embossing in advance improves the flexibility of the aluminum foil and at the same time gives it a certain degree of elasticity, so the wrinkles that occur during the forming process are absorbed by the folds of the irregularities. Therefore, it is thought that a molded product with fewer wrinkles can be obtained.

In addition, the manufacturing method may be the same as conventional molding of aluminum foil containers except for embossing, and therefore a molded product can be obtained that is cheaper in cost than conventional wrinkle-free molding.
