Abstract

PURPOSE:To discriminate the opening and closing state of a door pane or a window pane, by transmitting an ultrasonic wave with a transmitter comprising an ultrasonic vibrator into a vehicle, a dwelling room or the like. CONSTITUTION:The ultrasonic wave transmitted into a space area in a dwelling room, a vehicle or the like with a transmitter 1 normally has components of thermal noises of amplification circuits 5 and 8 or the like appearing at the output of the amplification circuit 8 when a window glass or the like is closed. But when the window pane or the like is opened, a Doppler component is generated due to the movement and the oscillation of air and when the Doppler component is received with a receiver 4, it is amplified to create saturation. Thus, comparing outputs of a detector 7 with a comparator 9 enables the detection of opening or closing stage of the window pane or the like. Depending on the output of the comparator 9, an output driving circuit 10 generates a signal when the window pane is opened or closed to drive a display or the like.

[Background Art] Conventionally, as a device for determining the open/closed state of this type of window glass or car door lath, a limit switch is installed near the glass using mechanical action, or a limit switch is installed near the glass, or a magnet and a reed switch are used. It has been considered to install an open/close switch consisting of a windowpane, but this requires a switch to be attached to each window glass, which has the disadvantage of increasing costs and spoiling the aesthetics.

The ultrasonic waves transmitted by the transmitter 1 into a spatial area such as a residential room or a heavy space usually contain thermal noise components such as the amplifier circuit 5.8 if the window glass etc. are in a closed state. This appears at the output of the amplifier circuit 8 as shown in FIG. 2(a). However, if the window glass is open, a Doppler component is generated due to the movement and shaking of the air, and when this Doppler component is received by the receiver 4, the Doppler component is amplified and saturated as shown in Figure 2 (c). become a state. In addition, when a window glass or the like is opened, foreign noise enters the spatial area, and a signal output with a level higher than the thermal noise level as shown in Figure 2 (b) is generated at the output of the amplifier circuit (8). This is because the normal outdoor noise level is at least 40 dBsL, and when the windows are completely closed, the noise level indoors is about 10 dBsL.
This is the difference caused by hearing at a level that is more than dB lower. Therefore, by comparing the output of the detector 7 with the comparator 9, the open/closed state of the window glass etc. can be detected. The output of the comparator 9 allows the output drive circuit 10 to detect when the window glass is open or closed. It generates a signal to drive the display, etc. when the device is in use. In addition, this example is a household security device, HA
It may also be used as a sensor applied to systems and heavy-duty security devices.

[Effects of the Invention] As described above, the present invention includes a wave transmitter that is driven by a wave transmission signal and transmits it into a space/interval area such as inside a vehicle or a house, and a receiver for receiving ultrasonic waves; a mixer for mixing the ultrasonic waves received by the receiver with a signal for transmission from a transmitter; a detector for detecting the output of the mixer; and a detector for detecting the output of the mixer; It is equipped with a comparator that compares the output of the window glass with a predetermined reference value to determine whether the window lath is open or open. Since it is possible to detect Doppler components and foreign noise generated by air movement and i-shares using the wave receiving means, it is possible to detect a switch for each windowpane compared to conventional windowpane opening/closing state detection devices. There is no need to install it, the circuit structure is simple, the cost is low, and the appearance is good.
