[Detailed explanation of the invention] <Industrial application field> This invention presses a flexible endless abrasive belt that freely travels around a drive mechanism against the curved surface of a rough-finished workpiece, thereby polishing the curved surface of the workpiece. In a curved surface sander for woodworking that performs abrasive finishing work, the pressing pad is constructed by stacking multiple thin plates, each thin plate is made to follow the curved surface of the workpiece differently, and the polishing belt is changed to the pressing pad. The present invention relates to a flexible pad device that can closely fit various curved shapes of workpieces without requiring a pad.

To address this issue, we have proposed
In No. 74196, an air supply path is formed in the center of the pressing pad, and a discharge hole communicating with the air supply path is formed in the pressing surface, and air is blown from the discharge hole to move the abrasive belt to the workpiece side. By the way, this device presses the abrasive belt against the curved surface of the workpiece by discharging air, so when the pressing surface is pressed against the curved surface, the abrasive belt presses against the ridge of the curved surface of the workpiece. There is a point where the ridge is scraped off. In addition, the discharge holes must be formed by stacking and fixing the thin plates and then drilling the holes, which is troublesome, and if a large number of holes are drilled, each thin plate will be divided. , since it becomes impossible to hold them, the number of holes to be drilled is limited, and there are drawbacks such as not being able to secure a sufficient area for the air ports.

Several types of thin plates 5 classified by 0, 61, 62
1 are stacked one on top of the other to form a pressure pad a having a communication path b and an intake hole c, thereby reducing the pressure in the communication path b and applying suction through the intake hole c to cover the cover material 64 and the covering band 65. Since the endless polishing belt 23 is adsorbed to the pad surface 71 through the pad surface 71, (a) the endless polishing belt 23 can be brought into close contact with the pad surface 71, and the polishing can be performed evenly.

[Scope of Claim for Utility Model Registration] A curved surface sander for woodworking in which a pressing pad is installed in an endless abrasive belt that is stretched around a drive mechanism, and the pad presses the endless abrasive belt against the curved surface of a workpiece to finish the curved surface of the workpiece. In the press pad, the side edge located on the polishing side is the pressing edge, and the central portion is transparent and a communication groove is formed to communicate the through hole and the pressing edge. In addition, several types of thin plates are classified by the opening position at the pressing edge of the communication groove being different in the width direction of the edge,
It is constructed by stacking a plurality of sheets, and the pressing pad has an air supply path formed by overlapping the through holes, an air intake hole extending across a plurality of positions in the width direction by the plurality of communication grooves, and a plurality of pressing edges. furthermore, the pressing surface of the pressing pad is covered with a highly breathable covering material, and the air supply path is depressurized and the abrasive belt is applied to the pressing surface through the covering material through the intake hole. A flexible pad device for a curved surface sander for woodworking, which is characterized by closely spaced pads.
