れたボデー内に油圧により前記摺動方向と直角方
向に移動可能なプランジヤを装着し、該プランジ
ヤの溝に定常運転時はバルブステムの一端が当接
していて、前記カムの回転により前記ボデーの摺
動に同調して同方向に移動することにより該バル
ブステムの他端のバルブが開閉し、減筒運転時に
は気筒切替コンピユータからの信号により切替わ
る油圧によつてプランジヤが押され、カムの回転
により該プランジヤが前記ボデーを介して前記バ
ルブ方向に移動してもバルブステムがプランジヤ
の逃げ穴に突入し、該バルブステムがプランジヤ
の移動に同調しないようにして減筒運転となる可
変気筒システムにおいて、定常運転時にバルブス
テムの一端が係合する前記プランジヤの溝の溝巾
を、該バルブステムの巾より僅かに大きく形成し
、該溝の側面とバルブステムの側面が接触するこ
とによりプランジヤの回転防止を行なうことを特
