Abstract

PURPOSE:To improve the symmetric property of a signal reproducing waveform of a magnetic head, and to decrease a read error of a signal by providing an erasing coil on two erasing cores, respectively, and connecting a coil in series so that a magnetic flux induced in the two erasing cores, respectively becomes a reverse direction. CONSTITUTION:The titled magnetic head is provided with an erasing coil 6a wound to an erasing core 4a, and an erasing coil 6b wound to an erasing core 4b. The erasing coils 6a, 6b wound to the periphery of the erasing cores 4a, 4b are connected by a wiring 8 for connecting them, and for instance, in case when a current has been made to flow as indicated with an arrow, it becomes a right-round current as indicated with an arrow 10 in the erasing coil 6b, and a current which has flowed through the wiring 8 as indicated with an arrow 11 becomes a left-round current in the erasing coil 4a. As a result, a magnetic flux induced in the erasing cores 4a, 4b becomes a reverse direction to each as indicated with an arrow 13. Therefore, even if the magnetic flux lead out of the erasing cores 4a, 4b and a read/write core 2 is magnetized, it is negated to each other, and as a result, the read/write core 2 is not magnetized.

[Detailed Description of the Invention] [Industrial Application Field] The present invention relates to a magnetic head for writing or reading signals on a magnetic medium that is a carrier of information signals, and particularly relates to a magnetic head for writing or reading signals on a magnetic medium that is a carrier of information signals, and in particular, a tunnel erase method that erases both sides immediately after recording a signal. Regarding magnetic heads.

Conventionally, this type of magnetic head has a read/write core 52 provided with a spacer 51 and spacers 53a on both sides thereof, as shown in FIG. 3, which schematically shows the main parts thereof.

Therefore, when a signal is written by the read/write core 52, both sides of the written signal are simultaneously erased by the erase cores 54a and 54b. 54a, 5
4b is induced in the erase core 54b, and as a result, the erase core 54a
, read/write core 5 due to magnetic flux leaking from 54b.
2 will be magnetized as shown by arrow 59. Since the magnetic flux of the erase cores 54a and 54b is direct current, the read/write core 52 is also naturally magnetized with direct current, causing imbalance in the signals written on the medium. Therefore, when this signal is reproduced, the symmetry of its output waveform is lost, resulting in a disadvantage in that it causes misreading of the signal.

The present invention includes one read/write core, two erase cores arranged parallel to the core on both sides, a read/write coil wound around the read/write core, and a read/write coil wound around each of the two erase cores. This magnetic head is characterized by having two erase coils connected in series so that the magnetic fluxes induced in each erase core are in opposite directions.

It is similar to the prior art in that it has the erase cores 4a+4b with the erase cores 4a+4b and the read/write coil 5 wound around the read/write core 2, but the present invention has the erase coil 6a wound around the erase core 4b and The two erase coils 6a + 6b are connected in series so that the directions of the magnetic fluxes induced in the two erase cores 4a and 4b are opposite to each other.

6b seen from the arrow 7 in FIG. 2, the erase cores 6a+6b wound around the erase cores 4ae4b are connected as shown in the figure by the wiring 8 connecting them, for example as shown in the arrow 9. When a current flows through the erase coil 6b, the current flows clockwise as shown by the arrow 109, and a current flowing through the wiring 8 as shown by the arrow 11 flows counterclockwise as shown by the arrow 12 in the erase coil 4a. As a result, the magnetic fluxes induced in the erase core 4ae4b in FIG. 1 are in opposite directions as indicated by arrows 13. Therefore, even if magnetic flux leaks from the erase core 4as4b and magnetizes the read/write core 2, the directions are opposite, so they cancel each other out, and the read/write core 2 is not magnetized after all.
