[Detailed Description of the Invention] <Industrial Application Field> The present invention relates to a selvedge fabric made by a rapier loom and a device thereof. The rapier rod of the rapier loom is improved, and a selvedge assembly device is newly installed. It was developed with the aim of making it possible to weave selvedge fabrics using continuous wefts on a rapier loom in the same way as fabrics produced on looms, and to obtain fabrics with durable selvages at low cost.

When producing textiles using a shirttle loom, small wound weft threads are placed inside the shirttle and moved from side to side to feed the weft threads within the warp system. As a result, the edges of the fabric are continuous and folded back. It is durable and suitable for base fabrics for packaging bags for heavy items. However, because the weft bobbin is small, the weft yarn of the shirttle is consumed in a short time, and it takes time to replace it each time. The weaving speed is much slower than that of a shirttleless loom because the shirttle is run from side to side, resulting in less productivity. It is a bad thing. There are some automatic looms that automatically replenish the weft yarn for each shuttle, but they require a lot of equipment costs, have a complicated mechanism, are prone to breakdowns, and have the disadvantage that the types of weft yarns are limited. The sound and vibrations are also large.

On the other hand, unlike the shirttle loom, the shirttleless loom has a high weaving speed and uses a large weft cone directly, which saves the trouble of changing the weft, and is highly productive. Since the fabric is cut one by one each time it passes through the vertical system, the selvage portions are weak, and furthermore, unnecessary portions are removed in a striped manner from both selvage portions of the fabric, resulting in loss of raw material.

<Problems to be Solved by the Invention> The present invention aims to eliminate the drawbacks of the shirttle loom and shirttleless loom as described above, and to provide a new loom that combines the features of both. While adopting the basic weaving method of the rapier loom, which is a large shirt torqueless loom, it is woven using endless weft threads like the shirt torque loom.

Means for Solving the Problems> To this end, in the present invention, consideration has been given to both the fabric and the device, such as the selvedge fabric produced by a rapier loom and its device. The ears are weft (2)
An selvage tissue product having an selvage without a cut end of the weft, which is composed of a folded selvage (4) and a ring-shaped selvedge (6) in which an selvedge selvedge (5) is entangled with the folded weft. The apparatus for obtaining the selvage tissue is a rapier rod (10) that reciprocates through the warp thread opening with a stroke greater than the width of the fabric so as to braid the selvage without cutting the weft thread at the tip position of the rapier rod (10). A new selvedge device was added to the loom.

Effect〉 When the same material is used, the selvage tissue with the above structure is as durable as or even stronger than the fabric made on a conventional shirttleless loom. This is a Shirttle-less rapier loom that can weave yarn as it is, and has the function of weaving selvage tissue at a higher speed than a Shirttle loom.

The selvage fabric in Figure 1 is a 171 plain weave where the ground (1) is a two-strand weft yarn (2).If it is a double weave, the ground (1) is a warp yarn (3).
The structure of the woven fabric is not particularly limited, as long as the upper and lower surfaces are alternated. The feature of this woven fabric is that although it is a rapier loom, the weft thread (2) is continuous without being cut at the selvedges. It has a zigzag pattern, with rings on both sides of the ear. The left side of Figure 1 is a simple folded selvage part (4) of the weft yarn, but the 2 right side is a ring-shaped selvedge part (6) in which the selvedge yarn (5) is newly entwined with the folded weft yarn. It constitutes.

An example of the structure of the loop-stitched selvage section (6) is shown on the right side of Figure 1, and the way it is assembled becomes clear if you follow the selvedge thread (5) from the bottom of the figure to the top. That is, the loop (B) of the weft yarn (2) sent by the rapier rod (10) is passed through the first loop (A) of the selvedge thread (5), and then the loop (B) of the weft thread ( Pass the second loop (C) of the selvedge thread (5) through B) again,
Tighten these ring gaps (A), (B), and (C) in order to finish.

An example of a selvage assembly device for forming the selvedge selvage portion (6) is shown in FIG. 2. In addition to this example, the structure of the selvage assembly device can be freely changed in design by assembling conventionally known mechanical elements. In short, the present invention is advantageous in that the selvage assembly device is provided on a shirt torqueless loom such as a rapier loom. It has the biggest feature.

Therefore, the mounting position of the selvage device is the rapier rod (10) that reciprocates through the warp thread opening with a stroke greater than the width of the fabric.
This is a device for intertwining the selvage thread (5) with the weft thread loop difference (B) so that the selvage thread (5) can be selvedge-knitted at the tip of the weft thread without cutting the weft thread.

The movement of the rapier (10) draws out the excess weft threads with a stroke larger than the width of the fabric in order to form the selvedge (6). Additionally, the selvedge thread is pulled out with a large movement while forming a large loop difference. Therefore, it is necessary to add a thread tension and pull-back device for pulling out and stopping these threads to the rapier rod and the selvedge device. However, these thread tension and thread pull-back devices may be of the known type and are commonly used in conventional sewing machines, and will therefore be omitted here.

The selvage assembly device according to the present invention is provided in pairs with a rapier bar on the left and right sides of a loom, and has both selvage parts as a folded selvage part (4) shown on the left side of FIG. By changing the arrangement of the looms, such as making the selvedges (6) alternate, or by installing two sets of short rapiers to the center of the loom to create a two-row loom, the arrangement of the rapiers, etc. It can be used in addition to a shirt torqueless loom.

<Effects of the Invention> The selvage tissue obtained as described above becomes a durable fabric that is equivalent to or stronger than the selvage tissue obtained using a conventional shirttle loom, and is suitable for use in heavy packaging bags such as rice and wheat bags. It is useful as a base fabric or a base fabric for large sheets such as piled sheets and canopies. Moreover, this weaving is possible on a high-speed shirt torqueless loom, and requires only the addition of a selvedge device with a simple structure and modification of the rapier rod, so the modification cost is not very high. This high productivity can now be used directly for the production of ear tissues, resulting in significant effects such as labor savings during weaving and reductions in product costs.
