Abstract

PURPOSE:To confirm optionally the storage contents of a card by securing a monolithic structure of a card and a display device for data stored in a memory circuit in a state where no external terminal is connected to the outside. CONSTITUTION:A card 1 contains a front housing 2 and a ground housing 3 in small thickness. A display device 5 is provided at the upper end side of the housing 2 together with display buttons 6a-6c set at the lower end side respectively. An external terminal 4 of the card 1 is connected to a cash dispenser and controlled by an input/output part 11. Then the data are read out of a memory part 12 for execution of payment with a normal card. In case the confirmation is desired for the balance of deposit with no card 1 loaded on the dispenser the button 6c is operated for address designation of the balance area of the part 12. Then the balance area is read out and the deposit balance is displayed on the device 5.
