備えた点火コイル本体を設けて、前記プラグ挿入
孔の底部付近に配設した頭部端子接続用端子金具
に前記２次コイルの一端を接続し、前記プラグ挿
入孔に前記点火プラグの頭部を挿入して該点火プ
ラグの頭部端子を前記頭部端子接続用端子金具に
接続した状態で前記取付け部をネジにより内燃機
関のケースに対して固定する内燃機関用点火コイ
ルにおいて、 前記取付け部には前記プラグ挿入孔の軸線方向
に伸びていて前記プラグ挿入孔の開口端部側から
前記ネジを挿入し得るように前記プラグ挿入孔と
同じ側に開口した取付けネジ嵌合用切欠溝が設け
られ、 前記外被のプラグ挿入部を被覆し且つ前記切欠
溝の周辺部を含めて前記取付け部を被覆する導電
被覆が設けられていることを特徴とする内燃機関
