一般式
The present invention relates to a film-forming composition. More specifically, it relates to a film-forming composition with excellent heat resistance and adhesion that is mainly composed of alkyl (or allyl or aryl) silicate, enamel frit, metal powder, metal oxide, metal salt, metal hydroxide, etc. It is something. Generally, inorganic paints are used as paints that can withstand high temperatures of 400℃ or higher;
It has not yet been perfected as a paint because it has poor adhesion to the iron base, causing cracking and peeling when moving from a high temperature of 800°C or higher to room temperature. In order to develop a paint that can withstand high temperatures of 800°C or higher and has excellent adhesion, the present inventor developed enamel, which has excellent adhesion to iron, and alkyl (or allyl or aryl), which is used as an inorganic binder for inorganic paints. As a result of intensive research focusing on silicates, we were able to obtain this film-forming composition that can withstand temperatures of 800°C or higher. Traditionally, enamel finishing involves adding clay, potassium chloride, sodium nitrite, water, etc. as mill additives to enamel frits, dispersing them, applying the coating to the object to be coated, and baking at around 800℃. As a result, an enamel film with excellent adhesion is obtained. However, although it forms a continuous film at temperatures below 800°C before baking, the hardness of the film is very low and its adhesion to the substrate is poor, as well as it is not water resistant and easily softens with water. It is in. Therefore, it cannot be used practically unless it is treated at around 800°C. Furthermore, since this enamel frit is a type of glass, even if it is dispersed, almost no cosmetic effect can be obtained. Although enamel has the above-mentioned drawbacks in the temperature range below 800℃,
By using enamel frit in combination with alkyl (or allyl or aryl) silicate, it is possible to obtain a film-forming composition that can withstand high temperatures of 800°C or higher, has excellent adhesion, and is free from cracking and peeling. Not only that, but the defects of enamel do not appear even at temperatures below 800℃,
A film-forming composition that forms a hard coating film with excellent adhesion and has a cosmetic effect was obtained. However, it has been found that compositions consisting of alkyl (or allyl or aryl) silicates and enamel frits exhibit fairly good performance even when used at room temperature, but when immersed in water or weakly alkaline solutions for long periods of time, the coating film forms. was found to soften. As a result of repeated studies to improve these shortcomings and obtain a heat-resistant paint that exhibits good performance even when used at room temperature, we found that it is possible to add metal powder, metal oxide, metal salt, metal hydroxide, etc. It has been found. The film-forming composition thus obtained can be brushed or spray coated at room temperature, has sufficient coating performance even at room temperature, and can even withstand high temperatures of 800° C. or higher. That is, the present invention has as an essential component one or more selected from (A) alkyl (or allyl or aryl) silicate, (B) enamel frit, and (C) metal powder, metal oxide, metal salt, and metal hydroxide. ,
Furthermore, the present invention relates to a film-forming composition to which an inorganic pigment, a raw material for enamel frit, an inorganic additive, etc. are added. The alkyl (or allyl or aryl) silicate used in the present invention has the general formula

Hardness The pencil hardness of the coating film was measured after drying it at room temperature for one week. Water Resistance After drying at room temperature for one week, it was immersed in water for 30 days and then pulled out to examine the softening of the coating film. Adhesion After the coating was allowed to dry at room temperature for 5 days, it was cut with a knife and peeled off with cellophane tape to see if it would adhere to it. Heat Resistance After being placed in an electric furnace at 400°C and 850°C for 6 hours, it was left at room temperature and observed for cracking or peeling.
