Abstract

PURPOSE:To enhance an accuracy in adjustment of an amount of protrusion of a magnetic head by connecting the magnetic head of a carriage side to the carriage through a parallel leaf spring and disposing a vertical movement minutely adjusting screw for moving the head vertically at a lower surface side of the parallel leaf spring. CONSTITUTION:While detecting signal outputs from magnetic heads 11 and 12 holding a floppy disk 10 from both surfaces thereof under a predetermined contact pressure, the magnetic head 11 of a carriage 14 supported movably vertically and in parallel through a parallel spring 13 is moved in parallel and vertically by means of a vertical movement minutely adjusting screw 17 disposed on a lower surface side of the carriage 14. When an output signal is the most stable, the vertical movement minutely adjusting screw 17 is fused or fixed by means of a thermal method such as laser or a soldering.
