Abstract

PURPOSE:To simply adjust an amplitude characteristic by applying resin on a part of a comb electrode of a surface wave filter containing those electrodes on a piezoelectric substrate. CONSTITUTION:The comb electrodes 2 are formed on a piezoelectric substrate 1, and an absorber 3 made of resin is applied onto the electrodes 2 in order to prevent the reflection of the surface wave on an end face of the substrate 1. In case the frequency-amplitude characteristic as designed under such a condi tion is not obtained, the absorber 3 is applied onto a part 4 of the electrodes 2. As a result,the superposed waveforms having a large amount of ripple, for example, can be corrected to a waveform having reduced ripple. Thus the amplitude characteristic can be adjusted easily.
