The present invention relates to incense sticks that are less irritating to mucous membranes when burned and are suitably used. As is well known, mosquito coils are made from pyrethrum extract powder,
It is based on a combustion support agent such as wood powder, cedar or tea leaf powder, tab powder, a thickening agent such as cornstarch, a fungicide such as dehydroacetic acid, a pigment, etc., and an insecticidal active ingredient is blended with this. By smoking this for about 7 hours, the insecticidal active ingredient evaporates and prevents harm from mosquitoes. In this case, the smoke from mosquito coils does not cause any actual harm, but it goes without saying that it is desirable to have less smoke, mucous membrane irritation, and irritation. The amount of smoke, mucous membrane irritation, and irritation of mosquito coils vary mainly depending on the type of combustion-supporting agent and its blending ratio. For example, wood powder is cheap, easy to obtain, and easily flammable, so it is effective in preventing fires, and is usually 20 to 30% by weight.
(hereinafter simply expressed in percentage), but it is a major cause of smoke generation, mucous membrane irritation, irritation, etc. when mosquito coils are burned. In addition, cedar, tea, etc. stem and leaf powders have a good aroma, so they are usually added at 20 to 30%, but like the wood powders, they have drawbacks such as mucous membrane irritation and irritation. On the other hand, pyrethrum extract powder is preferred as a combustion suppressant because it is relatively less irritating to the mucous membranes and has less irritation when burned, and is usually blended at 20 to 30%. Since it is an imported product, it is expensive, and since there are problems with pyrethrum cultivation itself, there are concerns about the stable supply of pyrethrum in the future. There is a strong demand for a combustion-supporting agent for mosquito coils that is less irritating to the mucous membranes, has less irritation, and has less irritation. In view of the above circumstances, the present inventors investigated various combustion suppressing agents and found that corn cob powder, which is an abundant resource and is inexpensive, is extremely effective as a combustion suppressing agent. The mosquito coil manufactured using this powder is For its combustion〓〓〓
Compared to conventional products, it emits less smoke, is far less irritating to mucous membranes and has less irritation, has good flammability, does not disappear during combustion, and has insecticidal power. I learned that it is very good, as it does not have any negative impact on
The invention has been completed. That is, the purpose of the present invention is to provide an incense stick that generates less smoke when burned, has less mucous membrane irritation, has less bitterness, etc. than conventional incense sticks by incorporating corn cob powder as a combustion support agent. shall be. The present invention will be explained in detail below. The incense stick according to the present invention contains corn cob powder as a combustion suppressing agent. Corn cob powder may be used alone as a combustion suppressing agent, or known combustion suppressing agents such as pyrethrum extract powder, wood It can also be used in combination with powder, powder of stems and leaves of cedar, tea, etc. In this case, by blending corn cob powder, the amount of wood powder and stem and leaf powder, which cause smoke, mucous membrane irritation, and stinging sensation, is relatively reduced compared to conventional incense sticks. Therefore, an incense stick suitable for use can be obtained. The corn cob powder in the present invention can be obtained by drying and pulverizing the cob part of the corn cob from which the kernels have been removed. Corn cob powder is a highly combustible powder, just like wood powder, and is effective in preventing it from burning out, but it also has the advantage of having far less pungent odor than wood powder, making it an excellent combustible agent for incense sticks. The amount of corn cob powder blended is 1 to 80%, preferably 5 to 40%, based on the total amount of the incense stick. The particle size of the corn cob powder is preferably 60 mesh, more preferably 80 mesh. Also, known thickeners such as tab powder, corn starch, carboxymethyl cellulose, and polyvinyl alcohol can be used, and are usually blended in an amount of 5 to 10% of the total weight. Furthermore, when the incense stick of the present invention is used as a mosquito coil, known active ingredients such as pyrethrin and allethrin can be added as insecticidal active ingredients. In addition to the above-mentioned components, a pigment, a fungicide, etc. can also be added if necessary. The incense stick according to the present invention is used as a mosquito repellent incense, a Buddhist altar incense, etc. In the case of a mosquito repellent incense,
It can be manufactured by mixing it with water, molding it, and drying it in the same way as conventional mosquito coils. The incense stick of the present invention uses 1 part of corn cob powder.
By containing ~80%, the blending ratio of wood powder, stem and leaf powder, pyrethrum extracted lees powder, etc. can be relatively reduced without extinguishing when burned and without adversely affecting insecticidal power. However, reducing the blending ratio of wood powder, stem and leaf powder, etc. reduces the amount of smoke generated during use, and also reduces mucous membrane irritation and irritation, making it more comfortable. Furthermore, since it is an imported product, it is possible to reduce the amount of pyrethrum extracted lees powder, which is expensive and there are concerns about the supply in the future, so costs can be lowered and there is no need to worry about the instability of its supply. The practical effect is extremely large. Hereinafter, this will be specifically explained in Examples. Example 1 Mosquito coils (product of the present invention) were manufactured according to the formulation shown in Table 1, and compared with conventional products.

[Table] Next, for these two products, after smoking these mosquito coils for about an hour in two rooms of approximately 6 tatami mats in size, we evaluated the amount of smoke generated, the pungent odor, and the bitterness. As a result of a pairwise comparison conducted with a total of 20 people (10 men and 10 men), all 20 people judged that the present invention was better in terms of smoke generation, pungent odor, and harshness.
