There is a type of peripheral molding that has legs that are embedded in the adhesive in order to securely adhesively fix the window glass to the window frame flange of the car body and to keep the window glass attachment part clean.
Examples of window glass mounting structures using such window glass peripheral moldings are shown in FIGS. 1 to 3. This is done by pasting a dam rubber 2 on the back side of the periphery of the windshield 1 in advance, and applying an adhesive 3 on the back side of the periphery of the window glass 1 outside of the dam rubber 2. In this state, a window opening is formed on the vehicle body side. The adhesive 3 is adhesively fixed to the protrusion 5 of the flange 4 using a dam rubber 2 while preventing it from coming out, and a molding M is attached to cover the gap 6 between the periphery of the window glass 1 and the window opening flange 4. It consists of

As shown in FIGS. 2 and 3, the mall M is
A gap 6 between the periphery of the window glass 1 and the window opening flange 4 is obtained by extrusion molding a synthetic resin or the like into a long length.
a decorative part 7 that covers the decorative part 7; a leg part 8 extending downward from the back surface of the decorative part 7, that is, inward to the gap 6 and having an arrowhead-shaped anchor part 12 at the tip; It consists of 9. This molding M is constructed by inserting the leg portion 8 into the gap 6, embedding the anchor portion 12 in the adhesive 3 for fixing the window glass 1 while the adhesive 3 is still viscous, and The decorative portion 7 is attached with both sides thereof in contact with the upper surface of the peripheral edge of the window glass 1 and the upper surface of the proximal end of the rising portion 10 of the window opening flange 4. After installing the molding M, dry the adhesive 3,
The anchor portion 12 is fixed in the adhesive 3 during the pseudo-fixation to prevent the molding M from coming off, and the tip of the lip 9 comes into elastic contact with the end surface 13 of the window glass 1 and the surface of the rising portion 10 of the window opening flange 4, thereby securing the molding. M (see US Pat. No. 4,165,119).

However, in the case of such a conventional peripheral edge molding of a window glass, the anchor portion 12 provided at the tip of the leg portion 8 is formed into an arrowhead shape, and this anchor portion 12 has the following shape as shown in FIG. Leg 8
Since the molding M is continuous in the longitudinal direction, when attempting to bury and fix the molding M during the installation work of the window glass 1, the resistance of the adhesive 3 on the lower surface of the anchor part 12 increases, making it difficult to install the molding M. There was a problem. Moreover, when the molding M is pushed in against the above-mentioned large resistance, as the tip of the leg part 8 is embedded in the adhesive, this leg part 8
, a considerable volume of the adhesive 3 may be pushed away, and a portion of it may be pushed onto the outer surface of the window glass 1 and the window opening flange 4, requiring an extra work step to wipe it off. Otherwise, the problem of poor appearance quality was likely to occur due to adhesive residue left after wiping.

The present invention was developed by focusing on such conventional problems, and its purpose is to provide an anchor portion having a generally wedge-shaped cross section by gradually tapering the tip of the leg of the molding, while The leg portion is cut out at a predetermined gap in the longitudinal direction of the molding, and a gap portion having a locking surface that exerts a locking action with the adhesive is formed, and the substantial volume of the leg portion of the molding is By reducing this, it is easier to embed in the adhesive, and after embedding, the legs can be firmly fixed in the adhesive, and the installation work is easy, and the adhesive does not flow out during installation. To solve the above-mentioned problems by providing a peripheral molding of a window glass that is less dangerous.

4 and 5 are diagrams showing a peripheral molding of a window glass and a window glass mounting structure using the same according to a first embodiment of the present invention. As shown in FIG. 5, the molding M according to this embodiment is obtained by extrusion molding a synthetic resin or the like into a long length, and has a decorative portion 7 that covers the gap 6 between the periphery of the window glass 1 and the window opening flange 4. The decoration part 7 has a leg part 8 extending downward from the back surface thereof, and a plurality of lips 9 provided protrudingly on both sides of the leg part 8, and the tip of the leg part 8 is gradually tapered to form a wedge shape. While the anchor portion 14 is formed, a plurality of void portions are formed at predetermined intervals in the longitudinal direction of the leg portion 8. The cavity is formed into a substantially rectangular shape from the distal end to the proximal end of the leg 8, and is composed of a slit 16 having a locking surface 15 facing upward and sloping. This slit 16
At the upper position, the lip 9 protrudes from both sides of the leg 8, and when the molding M is pushed into the gap 6, the tip of the lip 9 touches the end surface 13 of the window glass 1.
and comes into elastic contact with the surface of the rising portion 10 of the window opening flange 4. At this time, a part of the adhesive 3 applied to the peripheral edge of the window glass 1 flows into the slit 16 as the molding M is pushed in, so that the molding M can be easily pushed in, and the adhesive 3 does not overflow onto the outer surfaces of the window glass 1 and the window opening flange 4. Then, the adhesive 3 is applied to the mold M as shown in FIG.
It hardens over time while the leg portion 8 is buried. As a result, the adhesive 3 that has entered the slit 16 hardens within the slit 16, covers and fixes the locking surface 15 from above, and prevents the molding M from coming off. Therefore, compared to the conventional case where the anchor part 12 is shaped like an arrowhead, the molding M can be installed more easily, and once installed, the anchor part 12
Molding M similar to the case where 2 is formed into an arrowhead shape
Fixed ability can be demonstrated.

FIG. 6 is a diagram showing a second embodiment of the present invention, in which an inverted trapezoidal slit 17 is cut into the leg portion 8 of the molding M to form a cavity. In the peripheral molding of the window glass according to this embodiment, the slits 17 are cut into an inverted trapezoidal shape or an inverted triangular shape from the tip end to the base end of the leg part 8, so that both side walls of the slit 17 are cut upward. This allows more locking surfaces 15 to be created than in the first embodiment. Therefore, when pushing the molding M into the gap 6, as the leg part 8 is embedded in the adhesive 3, the adhesive 3
The adhesive 3 flows into the slit 17 to facilitate attachment of the molding M, while after pushing the molding M by a predetermined amount, the adhesive 3 hardens within the slit 17 and locks both sides of the slit 17. The surface 15 is covered and fixed from above to prevent the molding M from coming off.

FIG. 7 shows a circular shape in the lower part of the leg part 8 of the molding M.
It is a figure which shows the 3rd Example of this invention in which the through-hole 18 of other shapes was formed and it became a void part. As described above, since the through holes 18 are provided in the leg portions 8, when the molding M is pushed into the gap 6, as the leg portions 8 are embedded in the adhesive 3, the adhesive 3 flows into the through holes 18.
flow inside. After the molding M is pushed in by a predetermined amount, the adhesive 3 portions filled on both sides of the leg portion 8 mix with each other through the through hole 18 and are integrally cured. Therefore, while the molding M is easily embedded in the adhesive 3 during installation, after installation, the adhesive 3 hardened in the through hole 18 and the lower surface of the through hole 18, that is, the upper side, Due to the locking action between the facing locking surfaces 19, it becomes difficult to come off from the adhesive 3.

As described above, according to the present invention, the tips of the molding legs are gradually tapered to provide anchors having a generally wedge-shaped cross section, while the anchors are arranged upwardly at predetermined intervals in the longitudinal direction of the legs. By forming a gap with a stop surface, it is possible to provide a peripheral molding that is easy to install and does not easily come off after installation in the process of attaching and fixing the window glass to the vehicle body, improving the workability of installing the molding. . Also,
Adhesive no longer overflows onto the outer surface of the window glass or window opening flange when attaching the molding, and the appearance quality of the vehicle can be prevented from deteriorating.
