中空筒体内において主放電面が互いに間隙を有し
て対向する前記中空筒体より熱膨張係数の大きな
導電部材で形成された一対の主電極と、前記一対
の主電極の少くとも一方の主放電面部に形成され
た凹欠部と、前記一対の主電極の各とそれぞれ導
電的に接続され、前記凹欠部内において互いに対
向してトリガー放電間隙を形成する一対のトリガ
ー電極とを具備し、前記トリガー放電間隙の間隙
寸法は、前記トリガー放電間隙を互いに接触させ
た状態で前記一対の主電極を前記中空筒体の両端
開口部にそれぞれ低融点金属の溶着により気密に
装着し、その装着後に室温まで冷却したときに前
記一対の主電極と記中空筒体との熱膨張係数の差
により生ずる隙寸法にしてなることを特徴とする
