Abstract

PURPOSE:To perform clear and accurate indication, by a method wherein characters or patterns are printed in a pressure-sensitive adhesive on one side of a base, a film carrying thereon a non-adhesive transfer member in a releasable state is laid on the printed surface of the base, is pressed against the base, and is released from the base to leave only the transfer member on the printed surface of the base. CONSTITUTION:Desired characters, patterns or the like 3a are printed in a pressure-sensitive adhesive 3 on one side 2 of the base 1 formed on a material such as a paper and a plastic, then a base film 4 provided with a vapor- deposited layer 5 of aluminum or the like on one side thereof is laid on the printed surface 3a of the base 1, and pressure is applied from the back side of the base film 4 over the entire surface thereof. After the adhesion under pressure is completed, the base film 4 is released from the base 1 gradually starting from an end part thereof, whereby of the vapor-deposited layer 5 of the base film 4, the parts adhered to the printed surface 3a are left on the surface 3a by being released from the film 4, while the parts not corresponding to the printed surface 3a are released from the base 1 by being left on the base film 4.

[Prior art] Conventionally, a method for displaying characters or patterns on a base material made of a transparent material such as acrylic resin is to print characters or patterns in white on the surface of the base material with an adhesive or the like, and then print the characters or patterns on the base material. A hot stamp foil is placed on the printed portion of the material surface, and the hot stamp foil is thermocompression bonded to the base material surface via the layer of the printed portion using a flat plate or a flat pressure roller, and then, after thermocompression bonding. A method is used in which the hot stamp foil is pressed and displayed on the printed area by peeling the hot stamp foil together with the protective material that supports the stamp foil from the thermocompression bonded area.

However, in the conventional display method described above, the hot stamp foil has adhesive properties, so when the hot stamp foil comes into contact with the non-printing part of the base material during thermocompression bonding, the non-printing part is also stamped. The foil adhered and remained, resulting in a problem that clear and accurate display could not be achieved. In addition, since both heating and pressurization are performed, there is a drawback that the equipment and process are complicated.

[Object of the Invention] The present invention has been made in view of the conventional problems as described above, and its purpose is to provide a display that can clearly and accurately display characters, patterns, etc. on a base material through a simple process. The goal is to propose a method.

[Summary of the Invention] The display method of the present invention includes the steps of printing characters and patterns on one side of a base material using a pressure-sensitive adhesive, and supporting a non-adhesive transfer member on the printing surface of the base material in a removable manner. It has a process of overlapping films and applying pressure to bond them, and a process of peeling off the pressed film from the base material, and by leaving the transfer member only on the printing surface of the base material, clear and accurate display is achieved. This is the configuration.

In the figure, 1 is a base material such as a display panel, which is made of a material such as paper or plastic. Desired characters, patterns, etc. are printed on one side 2 of this base material 1 using a pressure-sensitive adhesive 3, as shown in FIG. 1, to form a printing surface 3a. This printing may be normal positive printing or negative printing with characters and patterns outlined in white.

Next, as shown in FIG. 2, a base film 4 on which a vapor-deposited layer 5 of aluminum or the like is applied on one side is superimposed on the printed surface 3a of the base material 1 described above as shown in FIG. Pressure is applied over the entire surface using a pressing means such as a flat plate or a roller. By this pressure, the vapor deposited layer 5 of the base film 4 is pressed onto the printing surface 3a of the base material 1 made of the pressure sensitive adhesive 3.

Furthermore, after the pressure bonding is completed, as shown in FIG. 4, when the base film 4 is gradually peeled from the base material l from the end, the portion of the vapor deposited layer 5 of the base film 4 that has been pressure bonded to the printing surface 3a is removed. The printed surface 3a is peeled off from the base film 4.
However, a portion of the vapor deposited layer 5 corresponding to a portion other than the printing surface 3a remains on the base film 4 and is peeled off from the base material 1. At this time, since the vapor deposited layer 5 itself of this embodiment does not have adhesive properties, even if the vapor deposited layer 5 comes into contact with a portion other than the printing surface 3a of the base material 1 during pressurization, the vapor deposited layer 5 will not adhere. There's nothing left.

As a result of the above, clear and accurate display is achieved by the vapor deposited layer 5 on the surface of the base material 1, as shown in FIG. In addition, according to the above method, only pressurization is required, so
Equipment and processes will be simplified.

In addition, as the base film 4, a polyester film,
If a material such as a polypropylene film to which the vapor deposition layer 5 does not adhere completely is used, it is convenient because the vapor deposition layer 5 can be easily peeled and supported without performing a peeling treatment on the vapor deposition surface of the base film. Furthermore, when a material other than the above is used for the base film 4, it goes without saying that the vapor deposition surface is subjected to a peeling treatment.

In addition, if the base material 1 is made of a transparent material such as acrylic and the pressure-sensitive adhesive 3 is also made of a transparent material, the vapor deposited layer 5 can be applied to the base material 1 through the back surface of the base material 1 from the non-printing surface. It can display characters and patterns. In this case, a glossier and more aesthetic display surface can be obtained. Further, in the embodiments, a case has been described in which a vapor-deposited layer of aluminum or the like is used for display, but the present invention is not limited to this, and any type of transfer member may be used as long as it is a non-adhesive transfer member that can be detached in a destructive manner.

[Effects of the Invention] As described above, according to the present invention, since the non-adhesive transfer member is pressure-bonded to the printed area with the pressure-sensitive adhesive on the base material, the transfer member is attached to the non-printed area. This eliminates the disadvantage that the transfer member remains stuck even when it comes into contact, and thereby enables clear and accurate display. Furthermore, unlike conventional methods, heating is not required, which simplifies the equipment and process accordingly.
