Abstract

PURPOSE:To prevent the deterioration of a rubber hose by a method in which a chlorine remover is set on the upstream side of the rubber hose to remove chlorine present in supplied water and hot water flowing in the rubber hose. CONSTITUTION:A chlorine remover 12 is set on a chlorine removal section 2 of upstream side of a rubber hose used in the path through which water and hot water are supplied. The chlorine remover used is adsorbent such as activated carbon or compounds containing one or more oxides selected from the groups of magnesium, aluminium, and silica in the form of granular, block, or powdery solids having great surface areas. Since the inner surface of the rubber hose is protected from effects of chlorine in water, the deterioration of the rubber hose can be prevented.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION Field of Industrial Application The present invention relates to a device for removing chlorine contained in water supplied to water heating equipment, and is applicable to water storage tanks of natural circulation type and forced circulation type solar water heaters. Rubber hoses are often used in the waterways of heat collectors and water supply and refill waterways of water heaters with electric, gas, and oil heating wires, and this rubber hose is intended to prevent deterioration due to chlorine.

Conventional structure and its problems Rubber hoses normally used for this type of function are:
A considerable amount of carbon is added to the material formulation to strengthen its general properties as a rubber hose over a long period of time, making it resistant to sunlight and ultraviolet rays.

This carbon gradually becomes exposed due to the chlorine in the hot water supply over a long period of time, and when it freezes in the winter, it comes off the inside of the hose all at once and gets mixed into the hot water supply, causing a problem that stains the water black.

The water 9 from which chlorine has been removed in the chlorine removal section 2 and supplied from the pole tap passes through the water guide pipe 4 and fills the hot water tank 1, but flows in the direction of the arrow and flows into the heat collector 6. , heated by solar heat. A return to the hot water storage tank 1 is included based on the thermosiphon principle. The heated water 9 is taken out from the sampling tank 8, but since the water level drops by that much, the water from which chlorine has been removed in the chlorine removal section 2 is replenished from the hole tap 3.

The results, expressed as the weight of blackened precipitated particles per f1 (!/), are shown in Table 1. In water where chlorine was removed from the water supply using a chlorine-removing material, there were no blackened precipitated particles from the rubber material. , the effect was confirmed.

Furthermore, when the surface of each test piece was observed with a scanning electron microscope, it was found that the surface of the test piece using water from which chlorine was removed using a chlorine-removing material was the same as before the test, but the chlorine concentration was 200 pp.
The surface of the sample tested in 500 m of water was extremely uneven, indicating that it had deteriorated due to chlorine.
