Abstract

PURPOSE:To make an optical circuit connection for right-angled deflection with small-sized structure and to improve its precision by inserting united connector couplers into orthogonal through holes formed in the block of a connector body, and fixing a cover having a 45 deg. slanting surface. CONSTITUTION:The connector couplers 3 and 4 are inserted into the holes 1a and 1b of the connector body 1. The covers 2 are pressed in cut parts of the connector body 1. This cover 2 has the slanting surface 1a formed at the part corresponding to the intersection of the axes of the through holes 1a and 1b, and a reflecting member 2b such as a mirror is stuck on the slanting surface 2a. Consequently, a light signal transmitted through one optical fiber 16 is diffused and projected from an end surface 15 and made by the lens 5 of the connector coupler 3 into parallel luminous flux, which is deflected in optical path by the reflecting member 2b and made incident to the other optical fiber 17 for transmission through the lens 7 of the other connector coupler 4. Thus, the optical circuit connection is made with the small-sized structure and the precision is improved.

Recently, there has been remarkable development of various optical connectors for such parts, but most of them are linear optical connectors. On the other hand, the miniaturization of various components and elements in optical communication equipment requires high-density packaging, and the optical transmission lines used in this equipment also have to be installed in a small amount of space1. In the case of optical fiber connection with a circuit device using the conventional optical connector described above, there is a limit to the miniaturization of the device because the space required for bending the optical fiber connector and the optical fiber that protrude perpendicularly to each other is required.

本発明はこのような点に鑑みて電気コネクタ。In view of these points, the present invention provides an electrical connector.

In FIG. 1, the connector main body 1 is a cubic metal block with a cross-sectional shape as shown in the perspective view of FIG. It is set up. The perpendicular angle between the holes 1a and 1b can be easily obtained based on the perpendicularity of the adjacent surfaces of the main body 1.The connector connector 3.4 is screwed onto one of the outer sides of the cylindrical connector body. 6.8 is engraved, and the other is hole 1 of connector body 1.
It has a cylindrical shape that fits either a or 1b. On the other hand, the circular part is provided with a step 9 at the end opposite to the screws 6 and 8, and a lens support member 11 is press-fitted into the inner circumferential surface 10, and its end is positioned by abutting against the step 9. .

The distance between them is constant. As a result, the optical signal transmitted by one optical fiber 6 is emitted from the end face 15 at a divergence angle based on N and A, and reaches the lens 5 of the connector coupler 3. The light beam is expanded by the lens 5 and becomes a parallel light beam. The optical path is then deflected as it is by the reflecting member 2), and is again transmitted to the optical fiber 7 by the lens 7 of the other connector coupler 4.
