Abstract

PURPOSE:To provide a barrel device for barrel plating which can decrease deformation defects of articles to be plated as projections are not exposed to the barrel inside by providing electrodes for plating to the inside side plate of the barrel. CONSTITUTION:Many fine holes 8 are opened to the outside circumferential surface of a hexagonal barrel so that a plating liquid can enter the inside of a barrel 7. A gear 9' is formed to the outside circumferential part on the middle left of the outside side plates 9, 9 of the barrel 7 and the revolution of a motor 10 is transmitted via gears 11, 12 to the gear 9' to rotate the barrel 7. The side plates 9, 9 are supported freely rotatably by bearings 14, 14 formed integrally with inside side plates 15, 15. Meshed electrodes 16, 16 for plating are embedded in the plates 15, 15 and the surfaces thereof are smoothed so as to be made flush with the surface of the inside side plates.
