Abstract

PURPOSE:To prevent environmental pollution and utilize natural resource effectively by mixing the waste oil with heavy oil sufficiently in some weight ratio to utilize it for fuel for a burner. CONSTITUTION:The waste oil, reserved in a waste oil reservoir 7, overflows through a distributing and supplying conduit 16 into a filter bag 15 to effect natural filtration utilizing the gravity thereof. The waste oil, whose dust is removed, is reserved in a waste oil reserving tank 5. The heavy oil in the tank 17 is sent into a mixing tank 18 through a fixed delivery pump 20 while the waste oil in the waste oil tank 5 is sent into the mixing tank 18 through a strainer 21 and the fixed delivery pump 22 respectively. A mixing machine 23 is provided in the mixing tank 18 and the waste oil is mixed with the heavy oil sufficiently in the weight ratio of 1:99-40:60 to make the fuel for the burner. According to this method, the waste oil may be re-utilized in the form of fuel, whereby, environmental pollution may be prevented and natural resource may be utilized effectively.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION The present invention relates to a waste oil treatment method, and more specifically,
The primary treatment sludge of oil-containing wastewater discharged during the cleaning and regeneration of oil-containing cleaning materials such as motu and mats is filtered under pressure, and the oil-containing wastewater resulting from this pressure filtration is subjected to oil-water separation based on the difference in specific gravity, and the resulting waste oil is filtered. The present invention relates to a waste oil treatment method characterized by removing dust from the waste oil, mixing the filtered waste oil and heavy oil at a weight ratio of 1=99 to 40:60, and burning the mixture in a boiler burner.

In cleaning materials generally called chemical oil-impregnated mats, oil-impregnated mats, etc., the fibers are treated with an emulsion of a self-emulsifying and self-exhausting oil composition, and this oil is adsorbed and retained on the fibers to remove dust. It provides adsorption and retention properties such as

A system has been adopted in which the oil-impregnated fibers are lent to users for a certain period of time, and after the used oil-impregnated fibers are washed and treated with oil, they are shipped again to study demand. The oil-containing wastewater generated during this cleaning is treated by adding a flocculant such as sulfuric acid, adjusting the pH, etc.
For the next treatment, the oil-containing sludge is floated and separated, the separated wastewater is subjected to secondary treatment and sixth treatment which are known per se, and then discharged, while the oil-containing sludge is applied to a filter press to separate the oil-containing wastewater, This oil-containing wastewater is subjected to oil-water separation to separate it into waste oil and wastewater. This waste oil still contains a considerable amount of dust, and it is difficult to reuse it for any purpose, and the reality is that this waste oil is ultimately disposed of.

The present inventors have found that when the waste oil separated from the oil-containing wastewater described above is subjected to the dust separation described below, and then mixed with heavy oil etc. at a certain ratio, this mixed oil has the same flammability and calorific value as heavy oil. It was found that it can be fully used as a fuel.

The oil-water separation tank 6 is provided with a waste oil storage section 7 and a wastewater storage section 8 with a partition plate 6 in between. The partition plate 6 reaches the top of the tank 6, but does not reach the bottom of the tank.
A communication portion 9 between both storage portions exists at the lower end of the storage portion. In the specific example shown in the accompanying drawings, an oil-containing wastewater supply section 10 is provided adjacent to the waste oil storage section 7, and the aforementioned first partition plate is provided between the oil-containing wastewater supply section 10 and the waste oil storage section 7. A second partition plate 11 that is shorter than the partition plate 6 is provided, and among the supplied oil-containing wastewater, the waste oil component floats to the waste oil storage section due to the difference in specific gravity, while the waste water that does not contain oil floats to the bottom of the partition plate 6. It flows out to the wastewater storage section 8 through the communication section 9.

The sludge produced by H adjustment) contains about 4 inches of scum (contains about 7 inches of oil and dust),
This sludge is subjected to a pressure r in a filter press 1. This P liquid, which contains dust in addition to oil, is discharged into the water receiving tank 2 and supplied to the oil-containing wastewater supply section 10 of the oil-water separation tank 6 by the pump 16.

In the present invention, this waste oil and heavy oil are mixed in a ratio of 1:99 to 4:
0:60. In particular, it is important to use them at a weight ratio of 5:95 to 30:70, and to mix the two sufficiently to prepare a burner fuel. In other words, even if the waste oil used has been separated from oil and water, it still contains a considerable amount of water and has a high viscosity, so in order to burn it in a normal heavy oil burner, it is necessary to mix the two evenly. It is important to supply this to the burner with a uniform composition.

It is also important to mix waste oil and heavy oil in the above-mentioned ratio; when the ratio of waste oil is higher than the above range, combustibility tends to decrease slightly. In terms of waste oil treatment, reducing the amount of oil has almost no meaning.

Furthermore, the waste oil still contains trace amounts of impurities.
There is a risk that this may not clog the burner chip, but this drawback can be overcome by providing strainers 22 and 25 in the waste oil supply system to the mixing tank and the mixed oil supply system to the burner, respectively.
