Abstract

PURPOSE:To increase luminous efficiency of a fluorescent lamp by arranging a film which reflects ultraviolet rays and transmits visible rays between an outer tube of fluorescent lamp and fluorescent material. CONSTITUTION:A film 3 which reflects ultraviolet rays and transmits visible rays is arranged between an outer tube 1 of fluorescent lamp and fluorescent material 2. Most of ultraviolet rays generated by discharge in the lamp are absorbed in the fluorescent material 2 and converted into visible rays but part of ultraviolet rays transmits the fluorescent material 2. These transmitted ultraviolet rays are reflected by the film 3 and emitted again to the fluorescent material 2 to convert into visible rays. Therefore, ultraviolet rays which was wastefully absorbed in the outer tube 1 so far are effectively utilized and luminous efficiency of fluorescent lamp is increased.

Conventional structure and problems In conventional fluorescent lamps, phosphor is coated directly on the inner surface of the outer bulb, and most of the ultraviolet light generated by discharge inside the lamp is absorbed by the phosphor and converted into visible light. However, some of it passes through the phosphor and is absorbed by the outer tube. The ultraviolet light absorbed by this outer tube is wasted.

Purpose of the Invention The present invention effectively utilizes the ultraviolet rays previously absorbed by the outer tube.
The object of the present invention is to provide a fluorescent lamp with improved luminous efficiency.

Structure of the Invention To achieve the above object, the present invention has a structure in which a film is provided between the outer tube of the fluorescent lamp and the phosphor, which reflects ultraviolet rays and transmits visible light. The light emitting efficiency is improved by reflecting the light toward the phosphor again and contributing to the conversion into visible light.

実施例の説明 以下本発明の実施例を図面にもとづき説明する。Description of examples Embodiments of the present invention will be described below based on the drawings.

In the above configuration, most of the ultraviolet light generated by discharge within the rung is absorbed by the phosphor 2 and converted into visible light, but a portion of it is transmitted through the phosphor. The visible light converted by the phosphor passes through the membrane 3 and further passes through the outer tube 1 to exit outside, but the ultraviolet rays that pass through the phosphor 2 are reflected by the membrane 3 and hit the phosphor 2 again. converted into visible light. Once converted into visible light, it passes through the membrane 3 and the outer tube 1 and exits to the outside.

Effects of the Invention As is clear from the above description of the embodiments, according to the present invention, the ultraviolet rays that were wasted by being absorbed by the outer tube are effectively utilized by reflecting them back toward the phosphor. The overall luminous efficiency of the lamp can be increased.
