Claims

In an internal combustion engine, mounting flanges at ends of an intake pipe and an exhaust pipe are respectively fixed to the engine body, and open ends of the intake port and exhaust port communicating with the combustion chamber are communicated with the intake pipe and the exhaust pipe, respectively. A secondary air passage communicating with the exhaust port is bored in the main body, and a joint of a secondary near-feed pipe communicating with the atmosphere is connected to the open end of the passage via a check valve so as to be freely removable. An air feed pipe attachment device for exhaust gas purification in an internal combustion engine, characterized in that the joont is fixed to the engine body using the attachment flange at the end of an intake pipe or an exhaust pipe.
