PURPOSE:To enable production of many kinds of round billets having different diameters with one set of rolls with a titled roll formed with box, leader and finish calibers by forming plural finishing calibers to said rolls. CONSTITUTION:Each of a pair of upper and lower rolls A has the 1st and 2nd box calibers 1, 2, leader calibers 3 and three kinds of finishing calibers 4a-4c. The diameters of the calibers 4a-4c differ respectively and decrease stepwise from the left toward the right. A blank material 5 is reverse-rolled by the caliber 1 to an intermediate blank material 5b and said intermediate material is similarly rolled to an intermediate blank material 5c by the caliber 2 after 90 deg. rotation in the case of producing a round billet 6. Said intermediate material is rotated 90 deg. and is rolled similarly by the caliber 3 to an intermediate blank material 5d and finally the material is rolled by the caliber 4a.
