Abstract

PURPOSE:To facilitate easy and accurate control for detection time of an index signal toward the reference value by providing a small substrate containing a light emitting element for detection of index signal onto a control substrate so that it can move toward the circumference of a circle. CONSTITUTION:A small substrate 25 containing a light emitting element 24 for detection of index signal is attached onto a control substrate by means of a screw 26. The driving hole 34 for the screw 26 has an oblong shape so that the substrate 25 can move toward the circumference of a circle. A photo detecting element is set at a position opposite to the element 24. For control of the detection time for index signal, the screw 26 is unfastened to move the substrate 25 along the oblong hole 34. In such a way, the control is extremely facilitated for detection time of index signal and at the same time this detection time can be accurately controlled to the reference value. This improves the reliability of interchangeability between FDDs.
