PURPOSE:To favorably finish the surface of a printed mater and enable to discriminate a copy, by a method wherein a latent image is printed by using fine picture constituents, a background is printed by using fine picture constituents of a different shape, and a decorative pattern is overlappingly printed in a light-colored transparent ink. CONSTITUTION:The latent image 2 is printed on the surface of a paper 1 by using dots, and simultaneously, a background with a density equal to that of the latent image 2 is printed by using solid line instead of dots. The decorative pattern 4 is overlappingly printed on the surface of the latent image 2 inclusive of the background, in a transparent ink of such a light color that it can not be reproduced by duplication. When the printed matter thus obtained is duplicated, the pattern 4 becomes invisible, the background 3 is reproduced, and the latent image 2 is not reproduced, so that a distinct difference in density is generated between the background 3 and the latent image 2, and the copy can be discriminated to be a copy at a glance.

成となる。したがって印刷前の版構成は潜像と装飾模様
を別版としたもので、この点前記した先行技術とは大差
がある。そしてこのように別版とした結果、装飾模様4
のデザイン、色あいともに自由な選択が可能で印刷物に
応じたパターンを形成すれば広範な書類への適用がなさ
れ実用上極めて有益なものとなる。
