Abstract

PURPOSE:To contrive to improve the comfortability of an air-conditioned space by realizing two blowing-off modes, which are different at cool air blowing and at warm air blowing, by a cheap means by a structure wherein openings and blades are provided on the side of the surface at the outer side portion of air blow-off passage formed between an upper decorative panel closely contacting to a ceiling surface and a lower decorative panel arranged parallel to the upper decorative panel. CONSTITUTION:The air in an air-conditioned room is sucked through an upper decorative panel 20 and the suction port 15 open at the central part of a lower decorative panel 21 into a unit main body 12, sent by means of a blasting device 13, air-conditioned by heat exchangers 14 arranged symmetrically and blown-off from air blow-off passages 16 at both sides in the form of cool or warm air into the room. During cooling, the great portion of cool air is blown-off horizontally and its remaining portion is blown-off through openings 22 vertically downwards by setting lateral blades 23 so as to block the openings 22. On the other hand, during heating, the great portion of warm air is blown-off vertically downwards through the openings 22 and its remaining portion is blown-off horizontally by setting the lateral blades 23 in vertical standing positions.
