器は,単に大略の楕円を書くためだけならば使用できる

中点がOに一致するように楕円描写器用糸保持具を配置
させなければならない。然し特願昭58−109386
号に記載の保持具では,焦点f,f′に相当して糸を保
持する二つの保持部材が第1図に示すような構造をもち
,f,f′に相当する点がその糸保持部材を通る棒状の
腕の真下に隠れる位置にあるため,f,f′に相当する
点を,与えられた線AB上に正しくもつてくることが非
常に困離である。更に楕円描写器を回転させた時,糸が
糸保持部材の縁に当り,P或はP′の如き屈曲部を生じ

に対し直角方向の縁(1′)を有し,その内側の角の線

孔と呼ぶ)(3′)を有する焦点孔部材(4′)が,そ
の縁の下の糸保持部材の下面にとりつけてある。糸保持
部材(10),(10′)には,それらの上面に夫々糸
留め用ねじ孔(5),(5′)と,糸保持部材停止用ネ
ジ孔(6),(6′)があけてある。又側面には糸掛け
溝(7),(7′)が形成されている。このような糸保
持部材(10),(10′)を,その糸保持部材の内側
の幅に丁度嵌合する厚さをもつが,高さは糸保持部材の
内側の高さよりは低い断面矩形の棒状腕に通し,糸保持
部材停止ねじ(16),(16′)及び糸留め用ねじ(
15),(15′)を夫々はめ込む。糸保持部材停止用
ねじは,それを回すことによつて糸保持部材を任意の場
所に停止させることができる。糸留め用ねじの下には舌
状部材が入れてあつて,糸を糸掛け溝にかけた後ねじを
回すと,糸をその下に狭んで留めることができるように

腕の下を通れるだけの高さに該腕を水平に支持するため
の腕支持体で,前記棒状の腕が通れる穴を有し,腕を留
めるためのねじが該穴の側壁を通して備えられている腕
支持体と,前記腕にはめ込まれた糸保持部材とからなる
楕円描写器用糸保持具において,前記糸保持部材が,そ
の開口端縁で,その内側の角の少なくとも二つの点を通
る直線が楕円を描く紙面に対し垂直であるような開口端
縁を有し,その縁の下の方の糸保持部材の下面に焦点孔
部材が取りつけてあり,然もその部材は,その部材のも
つ焦点孔の下側の出口が,前記直線の延長上にくるよう
に取りつけてあり,前記腕が,前記糸保持部材を前記少
なくとも二つの点の角に腕の縁を接触させて停止するこ
とができる縁を有することを特徴とする楕円描写器用糸
