Abstract

PURPOSE:To automatically wash the panel face for saving labor as well as reducing the washing expenses, by laying wipers to be closely contacted with the panel face and rotating the same with a driving means while blowing water over the panel face. CONSTITUTION:Wipers 3A-3J are usually held to stand vertically to the ground, while in washing, the wipers 3A-3J are laid to be contacted closely with the panel face 1, so that the panel face 1 is washed by the wipers driven by drive means with water flowing over the panel face 1. This water is supplied from rain or from a supply pipe 2. Washing operation is performed automatically by an order from an operation room. Operation of the wipers 3A-3J are controlled in such a manner that the panel face 1 can be wiped almost completely by starting from the upstream of the water flow toward the downstream, for example, first the wipers 3A, 3B and 3C, then the wipers 3D-3I and finally the wiper J are subsequently rotated in that order. After the completion of washing, all the wipers are stopped and returned to the position standing vertically to the ground.

Solar panels as mentioned above are exposed to the outside air and generate electricity by sunlight irradiation, but under the same sunlight, the main cause of the decrease in power generation is dirt on the panel surface. This is caused by dust and bird droppings. In the past, panel surfaces were periodically cleaned manually to remove dirt from them. For this reason, there are problems in that cleaning the panel surface takes a lot of effort and a long time, and cleaning costs are also high.

This invention is an attempt to solve the above-mentioned problem, and the wiper, which is arranged so as to be tiltable around the surface of the solar cell panel, is installed on the panel surface in a state where water flows on the panel surface, such as on rainy days. It is an object of the present invention to provide a cleaning device for a solar cell panel that can automatically clean a panel surface by rotating it in close contact with a solar cell panel, and can clean the panel surface economically with little effort.

Wipers 3A to 3J are arranged around the panel surface 1, and these wipers 3A to 3J can be raised and lowered between an upright position perpendicular to the ground and a laid down position close to the panel surface 1. In addition, the base end portion is connected to a driving means such as an electric motor (not shown) and is configured to be rotated in the same manner as a windshield wiper of an automobile.

Normally, the wipers 3A to 3J are held in an upright position perpendicular to the ground, and during cleaning, the wipers 3A to 3J are laid down in close contact with the panel surface 1, and when it rains or when water is supplied from the water pipe 2, the wipers 3A to 3J are held in an upright position perpendicular to the ground. The panel surface 1 is cleaned by driving the driving means with water flowing.
