に零・正・零・負の順で繰り返す励磁電流を供給する励
磁回路を用い、信号処理回路で励磁電流が正または負の
励磁期間の定常値をサンプリングしてスイッチングレギ
ュレータの休止期間の設定電圧の値と励磁期間の設定電
圧の値の制御を行い、励磁電流の正および負の定常値を
一定にするとともに平坦にするようにした低周波励磁方
式の電磁流量計において、励磁期間の定常値のサンプリ
ング値があらかじめ設定した許容範囲であるかどうかを
判定し、許容範囲を越えたとき前記励磁コイルに短絡事
故が発生したと判断して検知する手段と、短絡事故を検
知したときスイッチングレギュレータの休止期間の設定
電圧の値と励磁期間の設定電圧の値を等しくし、かつ設
定電圧の値を励磁電流が正常値になるように制御すると
ともに、正または負のいずれか一方の励磁期間の励磁電
流の定常値を2回サンプリングして両サンプリング値を
比較し、両者が等しいとき短絡事故中と判断する手段と
を信号処理回路に設けたことを特徴とする低周波励磁方
