口紅化粧料は、一般的にはオイル、ワックス及び顔料粉
末を主要構成成分としてなり、唇を着色し、つやを与え
美しく見せると共に・唇を保護する効果を有しているが
、従来の口紅化粧料においでは唇に塗擦された口紅の色
及びつやの持続が悪く１日に何度も付は直さなければ゛
ならないという欠点があった。この欠点を改良する方法
として・ワックスを増量したり・高粘度油分を使用した
り、ラノリンやワセリン等のペースト状成分を配合した
り、又着色料として顔料の他に染料を使用する等の方法
をとりているが、使用性、仕上り状態、唇への染め付き
、落し易さ等の特性を損わない条件下ではその効果は十

本発明者らは・こうした事情にかんがみ、上記の欠点を
解決すべく鋭意研究を重ねた結果、ヒマシ油を主成分と
するオイル−ワックス系口紅に、エチルセルロースと有
機溶剤を特定量配合した口紅化粧料は、塗擦した口紅の
色及びつやが長持ち持続する。しかも口紅化粧料として
の他の望ましい特性をも兼備していることを見い出し１

シル化したエチルセルロースを０・１〜２０重量％と有
機溶剤を１〜３０重量％含有することを特徴とする口紅
