Abstract

PURPOSE:To improve the sealing property preventing possible ruggedness on the inner peripheral surface of a diameter-extended socket by mounting a short tube inside the end of a hole tube through a sealing material and heating it soft to extend the diameter thereof. CONSTITUTION:A synthetic resin short tube 2 having the outer diameter smaller than the inner diameter of a hole tube 1 is mounted inside the socket 4 thereof through rubber packings 3a and 3b and the socket is heated soft. An internal die is inserted into the short tube to extend the diameter thereof to form a diameter-extended socket 7 having an inclined section 5 and a large diameter socket 6. This eliminates ruggedness inside the diameter-extended socket 7 thereby allowing a water-sealed jointing thereof with a connection tube 8.
