Conventionally, in a paper feeder that has a paper feed tray that can load multiple sheets, when setting paper of a different size, it is necessary to remove the previously set paper, and then restore the paper to the original size. Sometimes, you have to rearrange and set the stack of paper that has been aligned, which is a very tedious task. Since a plurality of devices are provided, the device itself has the drawback of being very expensive. This invention eliminates the drawbacks of the conventional ones and eliminates the hassle of replacing paper by making it easy to replace paper by using multiple removable paper feed trays. It is an object of the present invention to provide a paper feeding device that requires only one paper feeding device. The present invention will be described below based on embodiments shown in the drawings.

Hooks 9 provided above both sides 11 of a main paper feed tray 23 having rolling rollers 8 are removably engaged with the upper pin 7, and hooks 9 provided on both sides 11 of the main paper feed tray 23 having rolling rollers 8 are releasably engaged with the lower pin 10. In order to hold the upper surface of the paper in a horizontal state perpendicular to the guide member 2, stoppers 11a provided below both sides 11 of the main paper feed table 23 are brought into contact with each other. Furthermore, a standby stand 12 is fixed to the guide member 2 between the upper sheet feeding position and the lower standby position of the elevating table 4 and extends in the horizontal direction at right angles thereto. The hook 9 for the lifting platform 4
is located on the ascending and descending path of the upper pin of the lifting platform 4 and can be engaged, and the stopper 11a moves between an approach position in which it abuts the lower pin 10 and a separated position horizontally separated from this approach position. It is designed to be placed via moving rollers 8.

At this time, if the main paper feed stand 23 is attached to the elevating table 4, the elevating table 4 will move up and down between a and c. When the sheets have been raised to this position, they are regulated on both sides by side plates 15, and are sequentially carried into the printing press by sheet feed rollers 21, starting from the highest sheet. When changing the paper, as shown in Fig. 5, press the selection switch provided on the setting device (not shown) on the
2 side and turn on the changeover switch, the lifting platform 4 will move from a to c.
It descends from the paper feeding position of the main paper feeding table 23 in between to the standby position d and stops there.

During this lowering operation, the main paper feed table 23 does not descend any further at position c in order for the rolling rollers 8 provided thereon to reach the standby table 12, and only the elevating table 4 is lowered to connect the hook 9 and the upper pin. 7 is disengaged. According to the above,
When the main paper feed tray 23, which is rotatably placed on the standby table 12, is pulled out away from the guide member 2, the second switch 14 is activated, and the main paper feed tray 23 is separated from the elevator platform 4. Detects the position and position. As a result of this detection, the elevating table 4 rises to position b and stops, waiting for the attachment of the sub-sheet feeding table 22. However, as described above, the main sheet feeding table 23 is at the separated position, and the elevating table 4 stops. Since the hook 9 of the main paper feed tray 23 is not located on the ascending and descending path of the upper pin 7 of No. 4, the upper pin 7 and the hook 9 do not engage with each other. After that, hold the sub-sheet feed table 22 by hand, engage the hook 19 with the upper pin 16 of the lifting table 4 stopped at position b, and bring the stopper 18a into contact with the lower pin 17, and the sub-sheet feed The stand 22 is mounted with its upper surface held in a horizontal state at right angles to the guide member 2. Therefore, if the lift switch is turned on after this, the elevator table 4 will move to the position where the highest sheet of paper placed on the sub-sheet feed table 22 is fed, that is, any position between a and b. The ascending sheets are sequentially carried into the printing machine by the paper feed rollers 21. In this case, the side plate 15 is moved out of the way.

When the lowering switch is turned on as shown in Fig. 6, the lifting platform 4
is lowered from the paper feeding position of the sub-sheet feed tray 22 between a and b to position b, and at this position, lift and remove the sub-sheet feed tray 22 by hand, then set the selection switch to the main sheet feed tray 23 side and switch. When the switch is turned on, the elevator platform 4 further descends to the standby position d and stops there. Here, when the main paper feed tray 23 located at a separate position on the standby table 12 is pushed in the direction of the lifting table 4, it moves a predetermined distance and then stops. At this time, the hooks 9 provided on both sides 11 of the main paper feed table 23 are connected to the upper pins 7 of the lifting table 4.
The first switch 1 is located above the lifting path of the
3 is actuated to detect that the main paper feed table 23 is at a close position. Upon this detection, the elevator platform 4 rises, and its upper pin 7 automatically engages the hook 9 of the main paper feed tray 23, thereby removing the paper placed thereon together with the main paper feed tray 23. The uppermost one stops at the position where the paper is fed, that is, at an arbitrary position between a and c. In this case, the side plate 15
is located at the position shown in FIG. 1 and is adapted to restrict both sides of the paper.

Note that in this embodiment, position b is a position that is higher than the maximum stacking height of paper when the main paper feed tray 23 is positioned on the standby table 12, but if the standby table 12 is made long enough, this position can be adjusted. However, the present invention is not limited to this, and if the sub-sheet feeding table 22 is not provided with the side plate 20, the side plate 15 can be used as is.

Since this invention is constructed as described above, when changing the paper while feeding a large number of sheets stacked and set on the main paper feed tray, the elevator table is lowered below the standby table. After the hook that is engaged with the main paper feed tray is disengaged from the upper pin of the elevator platform, the main paper feed tray is placed on the standby platform, and the main paper feed tray is placed on the standby platform at a position away from the elevator platform. Simply raise the elevating platform, hold the sub-feeder tray loaded with paper in your hand, engage the hook with the upper pin of the elevating platform, and attach it to the main paper feeder. It is possible to easily change the size of the paper stacked on the sub-feed table without having to reload the paper by removing it from the table.

In addition, if you want to use the paper on the main paper feed tray again, hold the sub paper feed tray by hand and remove it from the lift platform, and after placing the main paper feed tray on the standby platform in a position close to the lift platform, lift it up and down. The upper pin of the elevating table can be engaged with the hook of the main paper feed tray and installed by simply raising the table above the standby table. Therefore, there is no need to reload the paper in this case as well. . Furthermore, if the number of sheets of the same size paper used exceeds the loading capacity of the main paper feed tray, you can easily feed the same paper continuously by loading the same paper left on the main paper feed tray on the sub paper feed tray. In addition to being able to continue the paper operation, only one paper feed port and one paper feed mechanism are required, so the entire device can be manufactured at low cost, which has excellent effects.
