Abstract

PURPOSE:To prevent accumulation of ash, by a method wherein ash dispersing nozzles are mounted to a spot where stagnation is apt to be created in a flow within a flue duct and a spot where a velocity of flow is low and ash is apt to be accumulated, and the air is injected in a way to vary the direction of injection. CONSTITUTION:Valves 14 are attached to air pipings 13 branched from an air main pipe 15, and a flexible hose 12 is connected to a nozzle 3 by means of a coupling 11. Therefore, with the valves 14 opened, the air is injected through an injection hole 5 in a nozzle 3, and ash 2 is dispersed to the wake flow side. The injection holes in the nozzle 3 are about 1-4 in number to increase an injection speed and therefore, the air may be injected over the range of 360 deg. in order to fly the ash effectively. A handle 7 is attached to the nozzle 3 which is connected to a piping 13 by means of the flexible hose 12, and this enables rotation of the nozzle 3 by means of the handle 7.

FIG. 2 shows an example in which an ash scattering nozzle 3 according to an embodiment of the present invention is attached to a part where ash tends to accumulate. Further, FIG. 4 shows the structure of the ash scattering nozzle 3. In Fig. 4, 4 is a blind plate, 5 is an injection hole provided on the upper side of the nozzle 3, 6 is a collar attached to the nozzle 3, 7 is a handle attached to the nozzle 3, 8 is a flue duct, and 9 is a duct. 8 is a supporting/sealing ring for the nozzle 3 attached to the nozzle 3, 10 is a sealing gasket, 11 is a threaded coupling, and 12 is a flexible hose. When the handle 7 is held and rotated, the collar 6 connects the duct 8 and the seal ring 9. Since it is sandwiched between the two, the duct 3 can be rotated.

Note that the number of injection holes in the nozzle 3 is approximately 1 to 4 (3 in Fig. 5) in order to increase the injection speed.
In order to blow away the ash more effectively, it is best to spray air over a 360° range. Therefore, the nozzle 3 is provided with a handle 7, and the connection to the piping 13 is made with a flexible hose 2.
The nozzle 3 can be rotated by a handle 7.

Figures 9(a), 9(b), and 9(c) show the relationship between the rotation of the nozzle 3 and the air injection situation, making it possible to scatter ash over almost the entire circumference. In addition,
The number of installed nozzles can be set to one or more, taking into consideration the blowing speed, effective radius, duct area, etc.

As for the operation method of this nozzle 3, in the above case, manual operation was mainly explained in the field, but as shown in Fig. 10, the large mouth valve is replaced with a solenoid valve 18, and the opening and closing is controlled by remote control from the central control room or by blowing. You can set the time and fully automate it.

Since the present invention is configured as explained in detail above,
By jetting air from the scattering nozzle of the present invention by changing the jetting direction, it is possible to scatter the ash accumulated in the slow-flowing parts of the flue and carry it to the downstream side along with the gas flow. This prevents ash from accumulating in areas where stagnation is likely to occur in the flue flow.
