縫製中ガード部材が邪魔になるなど縫製に支障を来たし
ていた。 本発明は前記の点に鑑み改良がなされたもの
で、ミシンの針元附近に赤外線発光体を設け、その出力
光により人体の一部の有無を検知し、その結果をモータ
速度制御回路に伝達してモータ駆動を制御するようにし
たことにより、今まて縫製に支障を来たしていたガード
部材を取り除くことができ、さらに安全性を深めるよう
な装置を提供することを目的とする。

外線発光体4a、4b、4cに各々対応させてミシンア
ーム6の上面6’に埋設せしめる。該埋設された赤外線
”検出部5a、5b、5cはミシン本体1に装着されて
いる赤外線ラッチ回路7に接続され、該赤外線ラッチ回
路7は赤外線ラッチ部7’とミシンのスタートスイッチ
を兼用するリセットスイッチ部8から構成される。そし
て、さらにミシンモータ・9を制御するモータ速度制御
回路10に接続され、該モータ速度制御回路は、前記ミ
シンモータ9に対しブレーキをかけるためにモータ制御
部1 1に接続している。 本発明の実施例は前記のよ

a,5b,5cが赤外線の投5光範囲内に人間の手や指
の有無を判別したのち再びミシンを元のスピードへ復帰
させる。又、他の実施例として赤外線発光体と赤外線検
出部は必要に応じて1組から数組まで構成できることは
言うまでもなく、さらに数組の赤外線発光体と赤外線検
出部を設けた場命、複数の赤外線発光体から同時に出力
して、いづれか1つでも遮断されたら侵入警報信号が出
力されるようにすることも可能である。
