The prior art has a drawback in that it is difficult to grasp the status of the entire device at once as a result of the display sections of each device unit being arranged in a dispersed manner. The present invention is based on the above considerations, and aims to provide a display control method that allows data contents to be recognized accurately and easily, and information about the entire device or system to be grasped from one place. There is.

Two display devices, two display drive means each corresponding to each of the above-mentioned display devices, and selecting one of the plurality of devices to select the top four unit byte data output by the device.
It has a device selection means for inputting bits to one of the display driving means and inputting lower 4 bits to the other display driving means, and each of the display driving means selects when 4 bits of data is input. , 0 to 9 and alphabetical characters A to F, which correspond to the input data, while driving the display, and
When displaying alphabetic characters, it is configured to also drive a code segment, and is characterized in that the unit byte output is displayed in two digits by combining numbers and alphabetic characters. There are things. Hereinafter, the present invention will be explained with reference to the drawings. Figure 1 shows the l of the present invention.
A block diagram of the embodiment, FIG. 2, shows the numbers and characters displayed by the numeric display tube of FIG. 1.

In order to display F, in 7 segments A, B...
・Since the letter F cannot be displayed accurately, it should be placed in the left corner! 1
・A, B, C, D, E, F and the similar 8, 0, etc. can be displayed without error, and by looking at this RJ mark, numbers 10 and above can be displayed. Something can be easily recognized. Now, if you set the digital switch to 3, the signal line will be 1.

。As shown in FIG. 7, the upper first to fourth bits are applied to the display decoder 7-1, and the lower fifth to eighth bits are applied to the display decoder. The display decoders 7-1 and 7-2 drive the segments of the numeric display tube so that the numeric display tube displays numbers or characters corresponding to the received 4-bit data. If the 4-bit data means a number of 10 or more, the comparison circuit 8-
1 and 8-2 operate, and dot 0■ lights up. When the digital switch 2 is set to the value 1, the logic r'1J is output on the signal line 11 and the AND circuits 6-1 to 6
-8 is opened, and one byte of data from the keyboard is displayed as a two-digit trigonometric number on the numerical display tubes 9-1 and 9-2. Although we have described an example of displaying printer and keyboard data on a numeric display tube, when displaying data from other equipment units, it is necessary to increase the number of signal lines and AND circuits, or to share them. You should do it. Although the present invention can be applied to any device or system, examples of the field of application include bank teller devices such as terminal writers. As is clear from the above description, according to the present invention, it is possible to easily and accurately recognize the data content of one byte, and a large amount of data can be easily displayed using an inexpensive numerical display tube, and a device or system can be easily and accurately recognized in one place. You can even read the data of each part.
