電気車輌を駆動する装置において、誘導電動機とこれに
給電する電圧形インバータとの組を二組以上備えると共
に、電圧形ＰＷＭインバータの入力側どうしの接続を切
替えることによって電源電圧に対する負担電圧の割合を
切替える接続切替装置と、電気車輌の運転速度に応じた
周波数の低い方から高い方へ順に電圧形ＰＷＭインバー
タの入力電圧が高くなるよう接続切替装置を制御する切
替制御装置とを備えたことを特徴とする電気車輌の駆動
