Conventionally, in order to solder prosthetic crowns made of metal bond porcelain or crown work, several prosthetic crowns were temporarily attached to an uncured naturally hardening soldering investment material kneaded into a paste. To prevent the investment material for soldering from adhering to the porcelain labial surface, release wax was applied to the porcelain labial surface, and the tooth neck was pressed down and positioned so that the tooth neck was slightly buried. After curing, the material was placed in an electric furnace at room temperature, and the temperature was gradually raised over about 2 hours to about 800° C., followed by soldering.

With this method, rapid heating is not possible as the investment material for soldering may crack or break, so it takes a long time to heat it.
During this time, due to the effects of gases generated from the soldering investment material, the metal parts are heavily oxidized and the solder does not flow well, making it difficult to achieve clean soldering, and the long-term heating causes deterioration of the porcelain. In addition to severe discoloration, the solder investment material that supports the prosthetic crown has a large mass, so when it is heated from below, it expands and deforms, causing problems such as disrupting the dimensional accuracy of the prosthetic crown. . The purpose of this method is to compensate for these shortcomings of the conventional method, make technical work easier, shorten heating time, improve quality and dimensional accuracy, and reduce work time and improve efficiency. , will be explained in detail below based on the drawings.

The main body 1 has a groove 1a in cross section and a horseshoe-shaped or other suitable planar shape, and the groove 1a is filled with a naturally hardening soldering investment material 3 kneaded into a paste, and two or more pieces are implanted by sending it into this groove 1a. The main body 1 and the support pins 2 are made of a metal whose expansion coefficient is the same as or similar to that of the prosthetic crown metal. Or made of ceramic.

The shape of the groove 1a of the main body 1 is as shown in FIG.
In a tiered configuration, the upper tier is wide and the lower tier is narrow.
There are various types of grooves, such as those with a tapered bottom groove, or a simple rectangular groove as shown in Figure 4, and the upper edge of the groove with a slight groove. The floating prevention edge lc of the soldering/investment material 3 protrudes inward, and a small hole or a hole large enough to prevent the soldering investment material 3 from leaking out in order to make it easier for air to escape when the soldering investment material 3 is stuffed into the groove bottom. Legs 1e are provided as appropriate on the ventilation hole ld, which is a small elongated hole, and on the back surface of the main body, but this lifting prevention edge 1c is unnecessary if the shape of the groove 1a is such that the investment material 3 for soldering does not float up. If the groove 1a is filled with investment material 3 for soldering, the ventilation hole 1d is not necessary if the groove is formed so that air is not likely to remain.Similarly, the leg 1e is for placing on the table, but even without the leg. The back of the main unit can be placed directly on the mat, so legs are not necessarily required. As shown in FIGS. 8 to 12, the support pin 2 is attached to a soldering investment material 3 filled in the groove 1a.
The prosthetic crown 4 is placed on the tip of the prosthetic crown 4 to support it, and its shapes are as shown in Figure 5. There are several types of pins, such as those in which the top and bottom of the pin are eccentric, those with an elongated flange (2), and those in which the top and bottom of the elongated flange position pin (E) are eccentric. In addition to making it easier to stand on the paste-like solder investment material filled in the inner cavity, the flat surface also prevents rotation. For those with a lower flange, the part below the tsuba, for straight ones, is The corresponding part was tapered to a narrower end, and a part was shaved off a little to form the part 2b, and the shape of the collar 2c was made into a shape other than circular, such as an oval shape, and was embedded in the soldering investment material 3. At this time, the cut-off portion 2b and the collar 2c serve to prevent rotation.

The straight one shown in A is one in which the height of the tip when planted can be freely determined by adjusting the depth of embedding, and the mouth flange 2c is the one shown in Fig. 9. When standing up, it hangs on the shelf 1b in the middle of the groove and plays the role of a receiver, and the eccentric part (C) can be adjusted by turning to align it with the alignment of the teeth of the prosthetic crown 4. 2 is shown in Fig. 11, with a long and narrow collar 2c extending over both edges of the groove 1a, and e is shown in Fig. 12. In other words, an elongated collar 2c is stretched across both edges of the groove 1a, and its position is adjusted by eccentricity to match the prosthetic crown.

When planting the support pin 2, in the case of use shown in FIGS. 9 and 10, the flange 2c pushes away the soldering investment material 3, but the soldering investment material is pasty and soft. Since we will be doing the work ourselves, any gaps will be filled immediately.

Even after the various support pins 2 are planted in the soldering investment material 3, the positions of the support pins 2 are adjusted by moving them back and forth and left and right while they are still uncured. Buried. Once the position of the support pin 2 is determined in this way, fill the inner cavity of the prosthetic crown 4 with the investment material 3 for soldering, and place it on the tip 2a of the support pin 2 to complete the setting. Leave about 3 pieces of investment material 3 until it hardens naturally.

When the set thus completed is placed in an electric furnace adjusted to about 820° C., the prosthetic crown 4 reaches a suitable temperature for soldering in 30 to (1) seconds.

At this time, as shown in Fig. 8, a 14-karat gold solder 6 is attached to the tip of the soldering jig 5, which is a long slender nickel chrome wire with an appropriate handle.
If you melt it with a blow vibrator and apply it, it will form into a small round ball and stick to it. Apply this small ball of solder 6 to the joint of the prosthetic crown where it will be soldered, on top of which borax has been applied as a flux. And the 14-karat gold solder 6 flows cleanly and can be soldered.

One by one, the adjacent teeth are quickly soldered in the same manner. When soldering is completed, the prosthetic crown 4 is removed from the electric furnace and the support pin 2 is attached.
By removing the soldering material 3 from the inner cavity and scraping out the soldering investment material 3, a series of metal bonded porcelain and crown work prosthetic crowns 4 are completed. However, in the case of crown work, the porcelain is not welded and it is only metal, so
Even if you do not use an electric furnace, you can heat and solder with a blow vibrator as usual. After completing the soldering in this way, the soldering investment material 3 is broken down and removed, and the main body 1 and the support pin 2 are stored for next use.

At this time, the ventilation hole 1d also serves as a hole for washing and discharging the soldering investment material. The investment material for soldering here is a mixture of inorganic powder with an adhesive and a hardening agent, and heat-resistant and fast-hardening cement may also be used.

The product completed in the above manner has an extremely short heating time of about 30 to 60%, so there is very little oxidation of the metal parts, and very little deterioration or discoloration of the porcelain parts. As a result, the soldering is finished neatly, and it is expensive. 1. It is very economical because the amount of chisel used is minimal, and the positioning of the prosthetic crown is easy due to the combination of the main body and support pin, and the expansion coefficient of the main body and support pin is similar to that of the prosthetic crown. In addition, since the support pin is securely fixed by the solder investment material in the groove of the main body, there is no deformation due to thermal expansion during heating, so a product with high precision and extremely high quality can be obtained. It is highly efficient as the working time can be significantly shortened compared to conventional methods, and is an innovative dental brazing device that is superior in all respects.
